Default Potential Parodies

What are some parodies you would like to see on the show? I have a few tv show parodies in mind, but this thread is open to parodies of movies, music videos, commercials, etc.

- Medium (glad to hear they are finally doing one)

- Supernanny (one was pitched, but not picked up (about black nannies, and it was called "Supermammies")

- Project Runway

- Without A Trace

- Oprah's Interviews with James Frey and Jennifer Anniston. I saw the SNL "parody" and it was WEAK. MADtv could do much better, and I'd like to see Nicole RJ's Oprah showcased at least once.

- The Biggest Loser (the fact that the host of a weight-loss show is almost as big as most of the contestants is reason enough to do a parody)

- Veronica Mars (pleeeease do this one soon)

- And finally ... Americas Next Top Model. Why have the not parodied this show yet?

That's all I can think of for now.

I think they did a medium parody. I know I remember laughing at some Medium parody on something. Definetly Mike McDonald played the affable husband and lost the kid in the end or something?

I'd love to see MadTV take a stab at Live! with Regis and Kelly. SNL has had a monopoly on it for a while, but granted it's one of their best. The only time I've seen it done on Mad was for that whole Kathy Lee TV movie thing. That was pretty funny, though.

I had cast out an 'America's Next Top Model 5' parody in my mind when there were about six cobtestants left. To me, it seemed pretty good, but I don't remember it now.

Also...Project Runway would be great. That one show with Danny Bonaduce inr rehab might be a good one, but they could easily overdo it.

This next one might be kind of complicated, but they could Evert & Roeper reviewing a bunch of Academy Award nominated movies. They could just absolutely RAVE over some, and they could say how they don't like another, but give it thumbs up 'because it looked like they were having fun when they were shooting'. They could get in a lot of funny movie parodies.

I really like that idea, they could throw in tons of movie parodies, even if they are a few seconds long.

I'm suprised we haven't had a Brad and Angelina parody or anything with Jennifer Ansiton in it. Or even a Nick and Jessica break up sketch. I guess that sketch with Michael as the obsessed guy was enough.

I'd also like more Ashlee Simpson. Either a parody of "L-O-V-E" or some other parody. She hasn't done anything interesting lately, but it would be good to have Nicole to more with her.

We haven't had much, if any Paris Hiton on MAD. I don't know if this is a good or a bad thing.

Heh, thanks!

I like your idea for the L-O-V-E parody.

Oh yea, they REALLY need to parody him. He's terrible.

Also, I think they should parody Tom Cruise (too bad nobody on MAD can really play him) and Paris Hilton (c'mon, Arden would make a great Paris).

Even though Chapelle's Show is a sort of sketch comedy show, I think that we should see some sort of Chapelle parody. Maybe him going to Africa, his show, something. He's another big pop culture guy Mad hasn't hit yet.

That Quacker show on QVC has a live studio audience now. Sure MADtv could do more of those with the audience and stuff.

I'd like to see Ike step out of his comfort zone and attempt more impressions maybe like Vince Vaughn (he kind of sounds like him so it shouldnt be too hard). I see hes doing a Bo Bice one in a future episode which could be alright. The thing that annoys me about Ike is that he hasnt really done a hell of a lot over the last couple seasons compared with his first where he looked alot more promising with decent impressions of Vin Diesel and the Joe Millionaire guy. Keegan is almost on the same stage where he does a bit every now and then (Coach Hines, Jovan) but not enough to really gain a good fan base IMO both are way too stuck on playing the straight man or doing alot of supporting roles, very frustrating cause i know they are both better than this (sorry about the rant but i needed to get that off my chest! ).

I would like to see a parody of Invasion. Its such a great show (better than Lost) and there is enough cast members to cover the main roles.

Nip / Tuck. Long overdue. And for some reason, I really want to see Arden do a Marilyn Monroe impression. It'd be kinda hard to work it into anything, but still.

Arrested Devlopment. I don't think there are enough males to fill out the roles nicely, and I can't really imagine who would play who, but I think there should be an AD parody.

But is it possible to make comedy out of a comedy? Especially one of AD's quality. Thought about it: Don't care. They still need an AD parody.

The Surreal Life. 'Nuff said.

Oh, and another Ellen Show parody, but do a better job on it.
