DANIELLE GAITHER LEARNS THE "PHACTS OF LIFE"

Current MADtv star Danielle Gaither will be performing throughout
November in "The Phacts Of Life", a show that takes old episodes of
"The Facts Of Life" and draws out the odd homosexual subtext, all
while staying faithful to the original scripts! Now if that's not
funny, we don't know what is.

Info: ImprovOlympic West, 6366 Hollywood Blvd, Hollywood. Saturdays in
November @ 11 pm. Tickets: $10

The Phacts of Life returns to L.A. December 4, 11, 18

The hilarious stage spoof The Phacts of Life--which features performers acting out, verbatim, scripts from the '80s TV series The Facts of Life--will run for three special holiday performances on consecutive Saturdays, December 4, 11, and 18, at the L.A. Gay and Lesbian Center's Renberg Theatre, 1125 N. McCadden Place. The cast includes Julie Brown (Earth Girls Are Easy, Strip Mall), Sam Pancake (Legally Blonde 2, Straight-Jacket), Steve Sobel, Madeline Long, Daniele Gaither (MAD TV), and Terrence Michael, with special guest stars Mink Stole (A Dirty Shame), Kate Flannery, and Michael Hitchcock (Best in Show, A Mighty Wind). Each show will include three complete episodes, including a special Christmas episode that the producers promise will "tap into everything awful about TV holiday fare in the '80s." For tickets and more information call (323) 860-7300.

Default Daniele's Oprah Stetch

[COLOR=seagreen]I saw her oprah sketch. Compared to Debra Wilson, it was not that good,i would give it a "c" hers made you "chuckle" Debra's oprah had me cracking up. She is still very fine. To me ,she slightly looks like Debra, not just because they are both black,. but they look similar. COLOR]

I agree, but at the same time you got to give her credit for having to fill big shoes and doing a decent job. If she did things the same way as Debra, or if she reminded people of Debra too much, then people would be accusing her of copying and not being original. :/

Grrr I found this really interesting article on Daniele in the highbeam.com archives and I can only read the first few paragraphs.

http://www.highbeam.com/library/doc1...R%3AResult&ao=

Comic Relief; Laughter has indeed been the best medicine for St. Paul performer Daniele Gaither.

Daniele Gaither is a fearless performer. As naturally as most of us flip TV channels, she can conjure up Patti LaBelle, Missy Elliot, Tina Turner or Della Reese, an ability that earned her a spot on the WB's new sketch-comedy series "Hype."

But while she's quite comfortable on stage and on the small screen, there is one place that makes Gaither uneasy: her hometown of St. Paul.

In January 1994, her father, Dr. Daniel Gaither, chief orthopedic surgeon at what was then St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center, was visiting the home of his estranged wife, Evangeline. Gaither's parents ...

Anyone got a full registration for this site? I really want to read the rest of this story.

I was watching infomercials one morning and there was this ad for hits from the 70's or something, and this woman came on and looked so much like Daniele that I almost fell off my bed. I wrote down the song she was singing, and did a google search later and it was Diana Ross. The resemblance was so uncanny.

Should we include her name when we write to her? it doesn't include it in the adress and you don't write Debra's name when you write to her...

Okay, I'm still trying to track down that article elsewhere on the internet, but I did manage to get a hold of the link of a related article, an interview with Tony Cox.

Uh oh...I found out what happened.

Former St. Paul-Ramsey Medical Center orthopedic surgeon Dan Gaither was shot and killed by his estranged wife Evangeline (Van) on Jan 17, 1994. Van then turned the weapon on herself. Biographies of the two once prominent African American Twin Citizens are presented.

They only mention "their two daughters" in the article.
