I saw Arden on Conan as well. Makes me wonder why MADtv cast members don't show up on late-night talk shows more often.

Arden was at VH1's Big in '06 Awards this past Saturday. I found a few pictures on Getty Images I thought I'd share. Wire Image has a few, but I didn't nab those.



EDIT: I'm no double poster. Apparently she did a lot of commentary for the awards being given, and she gets mentions in this reality blurred article briefly.

was watching 'friends' repeat today and saw arden guesting in an ep where she plays a maid that chandler hires and monica thinks that she has stolen her jeans

lol...i was a HUGE friends fan...for about the first 5 seasons and then it died down for me.but the series boxset was on sale,50% off so i couldn't pass that up cause i'm such a bargain shopper

Why is that Arden has only been in like one sketch the last few weeks? I feel like they are leaving her in the backround and not letting her do much.Keegan is doing more than her and in my opinion he is not funny nor is he interesting sorry it is my open entitled free opinion..

I don't really think she's been TOO underused lately. She had a lot of airtime in 1213 and a pretty good amount in 1215. She wasn't used all that much last night, but eh. I think she's safe for next year,

One to two sketches per night isn't enough. After seeing her in the Grandma Noni sketch, she definitely isn't being used enough.

I don't think that Arden is either underused or overused. Of course, I've made no secret of my disdain for most of Arden's work; however, I will say that she has definitely improved this season. Last season, she was downright abysmal; this season, she's been funny at times ("Wing Girl," "Coffee Twins," red carpet, the grandma sketch from 1216). Mind you, though: a little of her still goes a long, long way for me. Her performance abilities are severely limited: ditzy and/or obnoxious (read "drunk") characters seem to be her "range." Frankly, if she wants more airtime, then she just needs to get better as a performer; and I'm not sure there's that much room for improvement. But hey, the good news is that she is getting better. Hell, at least some of her stuff this season is actually funny.

Edit: Ooh, I just found a brief interview that Arden granted for Buddy TV. Basically, she talks about the "MADtv" process and discusses a few things that she did before she was hired for the show. One interesting tidbit is revealed: Amy Poehler beat her out for a part on "SNL." (Kind of an either/or proposition, if you ask me. ) Anyway, I've updated the bio to include this info. The crowd goes wild: yaaaaay.

Oh, PLEEEEEEASE tell me you did not just go there. Amy is all right at times, downright annoying to me at others; but in all honestly, I could take or leave either of them (emphasis on the latter ).
