Nicole realized her love of theater while attending University High School, located in her hometown of Irvine, CA (a Los Angeles suburb). This discovery was a logical step in the life of young Nicole, who had been planning an acting career since she was about seven. The next step in that plan would include performances at local theaters such as South Coast Repertory and Laguna Playhouse. For most aspiring actors who had the luxury to grow up near one of the world's world's premier entertainment capitals, the final item on that pre-stardom career checklist would likely consist of continued study at a prestigious Los Angeles university. Nicole, however, had always wanted to learn her craft in a more modest setting; therefore, she found Indiana University, located in the small town of Bloomington, much more to her liking. While studying theater and voice at Indiana University, Nicole gave memorable performances in many university productions, including Our Town, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Nunsense, and Into the Woods. The diligent actress even found her way to Grand Lake, CO, starring as Maria in the Rocky Mountain Repertory Theater production of The Sound of Music. Perhaps the most noteworthy event of Nicole's IU tenure occurred on the day she took her first real plunge into the world of comedy, joining Full Frontal Comedy, the university's improv comedy troupe, in December 1996. One regular venue for FFC performances was the local Ben and Jerry's, where Nicole and the other troupe members would perform once a week. Still, at the time, no amount of free Cherry Garcia could convince Nicole that improv comedy was anything more than a hobby. After graduating from Indiana University in 2000, Nicole planned to travel to New York to pursue a musical theater career. Her plans changed, though, when she received word that the critically acclaimed improv comedy troupe Boom Chicago would be holding auditions in Chicago, IL. "I'm glad I didn't know much about the theater or the job when I was auditioning," Nicole later confessed, "because I would have been so much more nervous." The impulsive Chicago trip proved very fruitful. Nicole won a spot with Boom Chicago; and by October, she was living in Amsterdam, Holland, where she would remain for two and a half years as she honed her comedy craft. At Boom Chicago, Nicole wrote and performed in two critically acclaimed revues: Europe, We've Created a Monster! and Rockstars. Among the notable troupe performers with whom Nicole worked were fellow future "MADtv" cast members Ike Barinholtz, Josh Meyers, and Jordan Peele. After leaving Boom Chicago in 2003, Nicole moved to New York, still determined to start that career in musical theater. Along with several friends from Indiana University, Nicole founded an improvisational theater company called Waterwell Productions. This "smart and funny group," as Nicole describes it, specializes in performing old works in a manner that resonates with contemporary audiences. In August 2003, Nicole had arranged to perform with the Second City comedy troupe in Cleveland, OH; however, one phone call from "MADtv" would inspire her to abandon those arrangements. The producers of the sketch comedy series liked what they saw from Nicole during the auditions; and as a result, she became a featured player during Season 9, not to mention an immediate fan favorite. In Season 10, Nicole become a regular "MADtv" cast member; and to this day, she continues to lend her special variety of impressions and characters to the series. Bigger things are certainly in store for this talented performer. Where are they now? As of June 2008, Nicole has been confirmed for Season 14 of "MADtv." It will mark Nicole's sixth overall on the series, her fifth as a repertory cast member. When she is not working on "MADtv," Nicole also busies herself with several outside projects, the most recent of which is the film Disaster Movie. Does anybody know Nicole's middle name? I need it desperately since she doesn't have a TVtome profile yet. There is already a Nicole Parker, Nicole Ari Parker, but when I type in Nicole Parker in the cast list, it automatically links to Nicole Ari Parker since it's editor entered Nicole Parker as an alias. If I have our Nicole's middle name, I can start her a profile. Please help!

hey can someone upload that avatar that Nik posted for me. I can't do it for the life of me, but I really want it there, maybe a mod perhaps maybe?
btw this has been a great week. From what I can gather, Nicole Parker has been out of College for at least 6 years. She graduated 2 years before her co-founders of Waterwell Proudctions, which was started in 2000. How old are you when you usually finish college? Whatever that is, I'll add 6 years to that and I'm guessing (Give or take a year or 2) this is Nicoles age
