MADtv Information Request Thread

Can we have an "Official Thread" Forum to help clean the clutter at the top of the other majoer Forum sections. I think it would work nicely.

Perhaps a sub-forum in the General forum called "MADtv Info" or something, where we would move the character guide, episode guide, cast listings thread, upcoming sketches, etc.. Perhaps someone can suggest a better name, as I cant come up with a better one right now.

It's been done. I made it so only the mods can create new threads in this forum under contributions. If you have any suggestions for threads that should be put in the "MADtv Info" forum, please post them here.

Why is it in the contribute section? Shouldn't it be in with the General forum, castmember forum, rumor mill and episodes forum?

I put it in the contribute forum rather than the talk madtv forum because that's mainly what those threads are, are contributions, not really discussion or debate or whatever...even all the posts in the threads are mostly contributing to the thread they're posted in. Boy it's getting late, lol... I hope that made sense.

Well no, not really, but I'm too tired to articulate my argument properly. In summary, if it's by the general forum, and not grouped with the forums most visitors overlook, it will stop people asking questions like "what episode was the Ms Swan sketch with blah blah in" and "who was in the cast in season 3" etc. Sure we know where it is, but I'm just saying people looking for a quick answer won't. When they are stickied in the General Forum, they are easy to see. If the MADtv info forum is right next to the general forum, visitors will see it immediately. I can see your point about them being contributions, but they don't fit in with the other cotribution forums, because this one contains important information. Or something.

Anyway, I'm tired. Night.

I think a good thread if someone would put it together would be a listing of all the castmembers and what episodes they appeared in. So like if someone was looking for their fav castmember or wanted to know what episodes Dannah Feinglass played in (it was asked), we could direct them to the thread.

Do you mean listing all the episodes that cast members appeared in? (Like for example you wouldn't put episode #925 under Mo Collins as she didn't appear in it). I think it would be better ( and much less work!) to just do a featured players one and list all the appearances by featured players in each season.

BTW i've got an idea for another thread (that's if anyone think's it's worth doing ) where it's a list of the "notable" MADtv extra's appearances, like MADtv writers (Michael Hitchcock, John Crane, Jim Wise, Rich Talarico etc), castmembers family members (Mo's son, Alex's husband, Paul's brother etc) and any others (Bobby's friend in the Bae Sung sketches, ??? etc). What do you guys think?

Either way, whoever does the list can decide how they do it.
