Default Disaster Movie

What are your thoughts? I just saw it. It wasn't as bad as I expected.

What I liked:

I laughed a lot more than I did in Meet The Spartans.
Crista, Ike, and Nicole were fantastic in it. It was a little biased, but their parts were the only ones I found funny.

You really can't see it after August 29th, because then you won't get one of the main jokes.

What I disliked:

There was too much nut-hitting, both intentionally and unintentionally.
It was a good movie for the blind, because every time there was a new famous character, someone would announce it ("Look! It's Hannah Montana," "Amy Winehouse?" "Hey, You're Dr. Phil!").

Overall, I would give the movie 3/5 stars.

What do you think. Don't deny that you saw it, because I know you all did, or at some point will.

It's not out yet over here...but they've put up a poster for it...and everytime i pass by the poster with someone, I'd stop to point out Crista and Nicole out to them.

I'm certainly hoping that Disaster Movie will be much better than Meet the Spartans..and i'm feeling more relieved now after reading your review

Never look at Comedy Spoof Critics because they will always be horrible but they do great in grossing money.

For some reason, people keep flaming these movies, yet they always end up watching them. Hmmm...

I suspected that that was the case. I'm sure that the people who watch it get more entertainment out of reading the flames, or joining others in the flaming of the movie..

Is it just me, or did Carmen Electra seem like she was struggling to find the words to praise Disaster Movie in the interview clip?

Crista was so sweet in the interview though..and i'm glad the trio had a great time together, though it kind of sucks that their movie turned out to be a flop..and i doubt that the movie will be able to make enough money to cover the losses.

Btw, thanks for the link, Valu!

Crista was, as usual, lovely. All the MADtv people were great! Crista said it best when she said "the three of us just stepped in". That made all the difference in the world!

Look at the comments in the video. It's more hilarious than the movie itself!

LOL @ the G-Thang guy saying 'This is gonna be the funniest movie in the world.' and later 'Please watch the movie, I need the money.'

All the same, I would rather wait for snippets of Ike, Nicole and Crista to appear on the internet. I feel that the movie would be too tough to sit through after watching so much good quality stuff of MADtv.

Yeah...i'm torn between showing my support for the three of them and saving me loads of embarrassment and discomfort.

Talk about the crossroads of life..

I just saw the video. I loved it! All the MADtv people sound like they had a good time! I really makes me wonder how good they would be if they were in a non-this type comedy. Oh how a man can dream!

Support the MADtv people, or cover your eyes during the rest of the film. Tough choice.

Me and a few friends watched a torrent of it, because then I don't get people telling me I can't critique something I haven't seen, and I wouldn't in a million years give Seltzer and Friedberg a cent of my hard earned money.

As much of a fan of Crista, Nicole, and Ike as I am, I can't justify anything other than calling out this movie for being the abomination that it is. It's an insult to real comedy. I don't know why the three of them agree to be in these movies, they deserve better roles than that.
