Danielle performance as Oprah Winfrey
I thought Danielle's performance as Oprah was the worst impersonation I'd ever seen. I don't know who idea was that she can be like Debra Wilson and do Oprah but she is no DEBRA. I hope that they don't do this mistake again.

I didn't mind seeing Daniele doing the Oprah impression. Granted yes it is what Debra is BEST known for but that does not mean that no one else should be allowed to do it.
Of course Daniele's Oprah isn't going to be the same as Debra's. THEY AREN'T THE SAME PERSON. Of course Daniele's take on Oprah will be different...........Everyone says it sucks simply because there has only ever been ONE person to do Oprah and that's Debra. I'm definitely giving Daniele a chance. IT wasn't Debra but to me it was still funny. It would be immature in my honest opinion not to __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |

I love Daniele. I do not like her Oprah impression. Her name is spelled DANIELE, not Danielle. At least it wasn't an Oprah show parody, it was an Oprah parody. They had to poke fun of the cars that Oprah herself gave away. Even though Pontiac donated them. Oprah just likes to take credit. Yes, I am writing very monoton sentences. Why? Don't ask. I doubt she will do it again because everyone knows she isn't as good as Debra. So, unless something like the car giveaway happens again with Oprah, she probably won't do it again.

ugh..I agree,she didnt even look like Oprah. Daniele didin't even sound like Oprah....it was just horrible!

I am still recovering from Daniele's disasterous Oprah Winfrey impression. Obviously, Daniele wasn't a recipient of her multi-million car giveaway.
 She didn't even look like her. Was this the reason HYPE was pulled? How many shows is Ms. Gaither gonna ruin? First HYPE, then the ReRun Show...now MADtv!!!

I thought it was terrible too...hopefully she'll never do it again...
Hey, at least she tried and didn't try to make a complete carbon copy of Debra's....that would've pissed me off even more.

I agree that the impression was just downright bad. The thing is, Debra (IRL) kinda sounds like Oprah anyway. Daniele however, does not, she has a very, very different sounding voice. There are impressions that people are suited to do, and Oprah just isn't one of them for Daniele. I still like Daniele, I just don't like her Oprah. If she were to do it again, I think she probably could improve it, but the live nature of the opening sketch probably didn't help matters.

Debra does great Characters........But at least Daniele is trying her best and that's all they probably ask for.......... Melissa
