Default Whats your favorite decade of movies?

What's your favorite decade of movies? Mine would probably have to be the 80s. ET, Ghostbusters, Back to the Future... so much good memories.

Its all I need to hear your voice everyday.

I wish never to wake up from this dream I’m in right now.
Here I am watching clouds from your bedroom window
As we’re laying here.

And I wake up today
Still smiling in the air.
Wish dreams could be so great.

Nahhh I didn't like the 70's/ 80's/ early 90's style of movies. I like the cameras and technology of today. I love anything with a good story. Believe it or not, I LOVE golden oldies movies. Not the boring ones but ones like The Birds and Mary Poppins. They made you feel special after watching them. I however loved TV for that generation...it will never be the same...I've watched the kids TV shows of today while babysitting and most of them don't compare to Ninja Turtles, Inspector Gadget, Care Bears, Muppet Babies, Dennis The Menace, Smurfs, The Jetsons, Mickey Mouse Cartoons Sunday night, Bugs Bunny Saturday afternoon, and weekday shows like Mr. Dressup and Today's Special. Ahhh a trip down memory lane...sorry to get off topic, there's just not many 80's movies I like to remember except E.T. Everything was too science fictionish and all about aliens.

Being a child of the 80's I prefer the movies, but mostly I prefer the cartoons back then.

I'm also partial to musicals done in the 60's and 70's. Incredible stuff.

I agree Christina, music from the 60's was awesome. Even more so from the 50's and the 40's. My favourite song as a girl was Petula Clark's "Downtown". Sorry to get off topic again.

I'm not sure what era it was when the silent films from Charlie Chaplin, but I loved those. Also the era w/ the original Little Rascals. Pretty much, the black and white eras.

I grew up mostly in the late 80's-90's. My favorite movies were the Little Mermaid, Bambi, Dumbo, Beauty and the Beast. This was ofcourse when I was about 4 or 5. I still have those movies cuz they're classics

Anyone know what the deal is these days with current cartoons? They are like real poorly drawn and seem to be about real weird stuff (Like Ed,Ed and Eddy and some others i cant remember) im not saying they are that bad (they are actually pretty funny to watch) but i cant imagine what my childhood would be like without good old Captain Planet or Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles or Transformers etc...They seemed to have a message back then but these days they just seem to be about nothing. Am I right here? Or off track? Its not like i watch cartoons or anything.........
Its just an observation i made from viewing a couple cartoons.

Yay 400 posts its a long time coming but it has finally happened!!

Yeah I agree... cartoons will soon be sending a BAD message!! Captain Planet that was my fave show! and it was educational it taught us to take care of the environment... thats the kind of show they should be showing! And Sponge Bob is cool too
