I just read that Rita Rocks will get a full season pickup on Lifetime due to good ratings in its Tuesday's time slot.

let's hope the show continues to do well in the near future.

That's great! It just started running up here in Canada. They run back to back episodes every Tuesday night at 8:00. It is such a great show I'm so glad to see it's doing well and congratulations to Nicole Sullivan for getting a starring role on such a great television show.

Yeah, I was just coming to post that here, I was channel surfing and Rita Rocks is airing at this very moment on CityTV HD... Sure caught me by surprise...

i dismissed this show without ever seeing a single ep,then read a series summary about what its all about.it doesn't sound half bad actually...

I would have reported this earlier, but Vgate made it impossible. Michael was on Rita Rocks this past week in the second episode. This marks the 4th time Michael and Nicole have been on a show together outside of MADtv. He played a man who's daughter Brianna has bonded with Nicole's character Rita's younger daughter, Shannon, but when Shannon ends up hating Brianna because she's a brat, this leads Rita and her husband Jay to have to break off there friendship with him and his wife Mindy (Melissa McCarthy). When they go to break up with Rob and Mindy, they actually think that Shannon is the brat, causing for a messy break up. Later, Shannon and Brianna become friends again, and the parents now have to fake like they enjoy each other, but bicker when the children aren't around. It was pretty funny, and with how the episode ended, this looks like it could be a recurring role for him, which would be great. It's always so great to see Michael and Nicole together. Did anyone else see it?

Season one was good, except for the first three episodes. But second is huge improvement. If it keeps going the same way, this might become one of the best traditional sitcoms ever.

I can't believe how many episode Rita has produced so far. They have only been on for 2 months and yet they have already aired 16 of their 20 episodes. It's like a friggin anime show!

the only thing that gets me with this show is why rita is the lead singer.she clearly only has an average voice while patty has an amazing one.that is all

I am on the fence about that. I do agree that patty has a great voice, but to me it just feels like she's better back up because she can hit the high notes. Although, I do agree that she could sing lead. That could be a good episode in the way of Patty and Rita getting into a fight over who deserves to sing. Maybe they can come to compromise where they share the lead singing duties.

There are a few things about this show that gets me right now.

What ever happened to there dog Yoda? He was in the first few episodes of the show and now he's only mentioned in passing.

Is Rita going to be having this baby 2 and half months after she found out about it? They haven't indicated at all that they haven't been going day by day or week by week. That baby's going to be the size of a mouse.

I know the show is about Rita, but I want to see more of Kip and Haley. Raviv or Ricky or whatever he's calling himself now is so funny on this show, and Haley is so hot! I remember the first of the 2 episodes last week where she was working at Bed and Bath Max and she talked into an over the air intercom and man did her voice sound sexy. She also looked great!

I just assumed you were in season 2 because it's been on for so long. Maybe I should have spoil tagged those. Meh, except for the pregnancy, which you probably would have assumed from Nicole's baby news, and the fact that there was no way they could possibly hide that baby bump, everything else I said isn't much of a spoiler, mostly because you don't know how much Kip and Hallie have been in the show in season 2, it might be a lot in your opinion.

Tonights 2 episodes were great. The first one was good because Yoda was finally in an episode, and was actually paid attention to, but the 2nd episode I honestly feel is the best episode of the show so far, and it was mostly due to the fact that it was a Kip centric episode!

Basically Kip got into a music school thanks to Rita and Patty, which now puts a damper on Kip and Hallie's relationship that they have reformed. To stop Kip from going, Hallie convinces Kip to marry her, but Rita talks her out of it by scaring the crap out of her by telling her that by next year, she could have a little baby inside her and be as big as Rita. But that wasn't the funniest moment of the episode. The funniest moment had to be when Kip revealed that his full name is actually Skip, and he just took off the S.

This does however worry me, because this might mean that they are writing out Kip from the show. If they do this will be a huge mistake. Kip is probably the best character on the show, and you all know that when that comes from me, you know he must be great. After losing Ian Gomez I would hate to see them lose Raviv too. I mean if he leaves who's next? Patty, Yoda? It could mean the end of the show!
