I'm 6 episodes into season 1. Do NOT spoil it but I really hope Charley gets choked out by a terminator (seems like thats the only way they kill people). His acting is awful. The "you're a scary robot" shit in this episode is giving me an ulcer.

Dean Winters is definitely a better comedic actor than he is a dramatic one. After seeing his work on 30 Rock, I'm not buying him in this role anymore. Solid character, though.

I guess there's nothing more I can say here.

Just started season 2. Already hate Irish/Scottish bot. For me the whole liquid metal, capri-sun commercial shit is a little to cartoony.

Hate the character or hate the idea? If it's the former, trust me -- the worst is yet to come. Weaver you'll grow to appreciate, but the rest of S2's new characters I frequently had the urge to stab repeatedly in the face. In a good way, mind you -- gotta have characters you love to hate -- but the point stands. As for the idea, some of the season's best (non-Cameron ) scenes take place at Zeira. At the risk of sounding like a broken record, give it time. And, uh, brace for E02/E13-E15. The rest of the season (particularly E04/E17-E22) is fucking amazing.

Riley seems pretty cool, even if it is in an extremely forced "quirky" girl kind of way. I fully expect her to be held hostage a few episodes down the road.

One thing I find fairly interesting about this show is that Sarah Connor is a main character and yet she is ENTIRELY unlikeable. Despite the fact that she's a total douchebag, I can't remember the last time a main character on the "good side" was made so completely contemptible in a tv series.

Grrrr, Riley. *shakes fist for several hours*

That's an interesting point about Sarah. I've never paid her much mind, to be honest. To me, she's more the glue that holds the rest of the characters together than she is a "main" character herself, and with the show being so dark in general, I can't say her douchery ever truly registered with me until just now. I suppose that may explain (part of) my disdain for E13-E15, which are very much Sarah episodes.

Funny how it's the terminators, the characters we *should* hate, that seem to be the most likeable here.

Does Riley get even more quirky or something? I will shit my pants if she doesn't get kidnapped and/or held hostage this season.

Yeah I don't dislike Sarah in a way where I would want her gone. She makes sense to be that way but every episode you know she's going to cockblock John and get some job or something and then immediately do something vindictive to get some innocent person knocked out, carjacked, or killed. It all works out in the end usually but she's always so ruthless about it. I just thank god they didn't make her into a typical single mother stereotype or a "supermom".

Yeah the terminators are all pretty badass. Cameron is even more interesting this season now that she's all busted up. She's more robotic and strange. I really don't think the Irish/Scottish bot will grow on me though. Hate the liquid metal thing.
