The MADtv Sketchies - Season 12 - Nominations

Alright…I’m doing this year’s MAD awards. I’m going to do a similar format to last year’s awards.

First off, there’s nominations. Everyone nominates their top 3 sketches in all categories, and the top 3 from each category will make it to the second round. Public pimping, persuading, forcing, threatning is all welcome…heck, it’s even encouraged to spice things up a bit. (BTW, your #1 choice will earn the sketch 3 points, #2 choice 2 points, and your #3 choice 1 point).

After nominations are all said and done, the top 3 (or maybe 4/5 in some categories with ties) sketches for each category will be chosen, and you will PM me your ONE TOP CHOICE in each category. The winners, as well as the top 3, will then be announced during the results.

As for the categories – most of them have been borrowed from previous years, with a few exceptions. First off, since there was only one encore this season, the “Best Encore” category will be eliminated (it’d be pretty obvious who would win that one ). Secondly, “Best Musical Performance” has been replaced with “Best Faux Musical Performance”. Additionally, two new categories have been added – “Best Recurring Animation/Claymation Sketch” and “Best Non-Recurring Animation/Claymation” sketch. I thought I’d separate them, since I didn’t want a “Best Animation/Claymation Sketch” category with 3 Weekly News with Toby sketches as the top 3.

The first round will close after a week or two, or once we get enough votes. EVERYONE is encouraged to vote - even if you've only seen sketches from this season off YouTube or something, vote with what you've seen.
