Pickups & Cancellations
I'm trying to find some articles about it, but I heard that 7th Heaven has been cancelled (
 ) as has Arrested Development (  ). Charmed hasn't actually been cancelled yet, but they're planning to wrap it up this season.Any thoughts? I haven't really been watching Arrested Development this season because I keep forgetting when it's coming on, but still, that sucks. __________________

From what i've been hearing.......Arrested Development has been cancelled.
Dunno bout 7th Heaven, but if it does, thank goodness. That show was too damn clean for anyone's good. __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |

I've never seen 7th Heaven, but we need SOME clean shows. Just to balance it lol.

The reason (imo) Arrested Development was cancelled was becuase if you wanted to just start watching it, you couldn't because there's a ton of inside jokes and previous story lines. I tried to like it but the only way i could've laughed at anything is if I had watched it more. And I don't have time to watch the DVDs and crap. Neither does anyone lol, that's why their ratings sucked. I'm sure it was a funny show...if you GET the jokes.

IMO Some episodes of Arrested Development were confusing, some were roll-on-the-floor hilarious. It's a shame that it's cancelled.

I think Arrested Development was the smartest and wittyest show ever on tv. The writing was brilliant and the cast was amazing. It's too bad it's getting cancelled it's probobly too smart for TV. Maybe HBO will pick it up.

Yep,dumb it down for the masses and you got a hit.Try going
high-brow and youre gone.I guess AD won't reach the magical 60 episodes to be syndicated for re-runs.This show ruled but, this season there was baseball on mondays(playoffs/w.s.) then prison break with their absurd ratings.I think only 5 shows of arrested aired.Fox is supposed to be the #1 channel.I really wish the marketing department could have sold the show better. THIS WAS THE BEST COMEDY SHOW SINCE uprightcitizensbrigade. |

You can now add Martha Stewart's Appentice and Night Stalker to the list.
TV Guide's website reported that these two shows have been asked this week. At least Hot Properties is still on the air. |

No real losses ther in my opinion. Martha Stewart just isn't interesting unless she is locked up.

Uggh Fox is like the dumbest channel ever. More people should watch. I think a lot of the reason why it's doing so bad is that Fox always changes it's timeslot and pre-empts it and hardly advertises it. But IMO it hasn't been as good this season. It's been kind of too all-over-the-place in it's story lines, but it's still a great show. Hopefully Kitchen Confidential won't be cancelled too.

Smart? Witty? FOX? Isn't that an oxymoron?
It's too bad that a show like Stacked has been renewed, but not Arrested Development. TV, especially FOX, constantly dumbs things down and the smart shows often fail or don't make it on air at all. Even MADtv relies heavily on sex and fart/potty jokes, especially in recent years. It's too bad, but I guess that's what a lot of people want. As for Hot Properties, the writing on that show is terrible. Nicole Sullivan is great, but a lot of the writing and acting is awful.
