Gah FOX better be kissing Adult Swim's ass for reviving this show that they so carelessly threw away.

LOL yeah like the one where shes upset and she runs in the livingroom in front of Peter and Lois and starts complaining and then she goes "You know what I think im just going to go up to my room and eat a big bowl of peanuts"
*silence*
"I'm alergic to peanuts"
*silence*
"You don't even know me"
*meg runs off*
Peter: "...Who was that guy?"

I submitted a news item to the moderators about the Family Guy comedy album being nominated for Best Comedy Album i'm surprised they have not posted it in the front page news section since Alex Borstein is part of Family Guy playing the mother.

Saw this interesting tidbit on the tv guide channel......

(if you've already seen it.......dont ruin my moment for me)

apparently Family Guy was originally intended as a sketch to be aired on MADtv....

interesting........

Wow that is interesting. I can totally understand how it could have been a sketch on MadTV because of FOX and Alex Borstein. That would have been something incredible for MadTV. Just like how the Simpsons started on the Tracy Ullman show.

I watch the TV Guide special too, I wonder why MADtv rejected the idea of having Family as a sketch on the series.

I would like to hear that story from Alex or the creators of "Family Guy".

The first couple of seasons were great but this current one has let me down a whole lot. The jokes are just tastelss and I always seem to get bored watching it.

Well it looks like in a world that can have plots like 2 guys chasing a woman down with automatic crossbows (Criminal Minds episode), and an entire episode of a show can be about a woman getting raped (pretty much any episode of Law and Order SVU) there are still things that are considered verbodin on network TV, as Fox has announced that they will not air the abortion episode of Family Guy.

So, I watched the first episode of Cleveland months before it premiered, hated it, and haven't given it another thought since. Now, I hear tell that it's moving away from its initial direction and has more or less become Family Guy Jr. Any truth to this?

I don't know, but I think it is, simply for the reason that they have flashbacks, and cutaways, similar to Family Guy. If it was going to be Family Guy Jr. I don't see the point of it.

The jokes in it are on average, slightly less funny than Family Guy or American Dad. It's basically Family Guy on an off-day with more black jokes.

I'm now current. Not bad, I guess. I'll give it a few more episodes before making my final decision.

I watch Family Guy with my dad, and it gets really awkward sometimes. Like the one where Peter turns gay? Complete silence. I mean, it's funny and everything, I just wish they could up the taste meter just a little.

Decided to pass on Cleveland. To summarize:
  • Family Guy: 95% jokes, 5% heart
  • American Dad: 75% jokes, 25% heart
  • The Cleveland Show: 25% jokes (almost all of which consist of characters with funny voices saying not-so-funny things funnily), 75% heart
If anything, I'd say it's the black King of the Hill. Replace with new Futurama episodes, please and thanks.

Yeah. It's really not very good. Whenever I watch it, there's episodes of all 3 that I haven't seen so I start with The Cleveland Show to get the worst out of the way.

I just found out that the female Bear in The Cleveland Show is voiced by Areanna Huffington. This makes her character marginally funnier to me.
