![]() ![]() Full Name: Christopher Hogan [news] Date of Birth: <unknown> Place of Birth: <unknown> Height / Weight: <unknown> / <unknown> Seasons on MADtv: 3 (1997 - 1998) Recurring Characters:
Like many other cast members of FOX's notable sketch comedy series, Chris Hogan began his pre-"MADtv" acting career in near-anonymity. Prior to Chris's arrival on "MADtv," the only television series to feature him in a prominent manner was "News Weasels," a comedy series which he co-hosted with future Geico caveman John Lehr. Chris would again brush shoulders with Lehr when the two landed roles in the 1998 TV movie Since You've Been Gone. Although the comedy film's plot centers around a class reunion, Chris's character, in a manner of speaking, is hardly at the head of the class. Guest roles on television series such as "The Nanny" and "Just Shoot Me!" did not do wonders for Chris's notariety either. Of course, things definitely changed for the better when Chris was added to the "MADtv" cast for its third season. Along with Alex Borstein, Pat Kilbane, and Lisa Kushell, Chris began his Season Three "MADtv" run as a featured player. Two other "MADtv" notables, Will Sasso and Aries Spears, began Season Three as regular cast members. In time, however, Chris and his fellow featured players would prove themselves well enough to earn mid-season promotions as full-fledged repertory players. In fact, in the show's entire history, only one other "MADtv" cast member has been promoted from featured-player to full-time-cast-member status mid-season (Michael McDonald in Season Four). While Chris may not be regarded today as one of the series' premier cast members, he can always claim to be part of a rather elite group. Chris took full advantage of his "MADtv" promotion by turning in some memorable recurring characters. Among them are bumbling accountant Milton Cladwell; news anchor Miguel O'Reilly ("News at Six"); nerdy virgin Vonda Parker ("The Parker Sisters"); and "Mexican Wrestlers Federation" stalwart El Asso Wipo, who contributes the legendary recurring line "I will break you over my knee, like so!" In various sketches featuring Alex Borstein's time-honored Ms. Swan character, Chris contributes numerous variations on a hyper, frustrated supporting character who struggles in vain to obtain needed information from the ever-nebulous Ms. Swan. The manic energy displayed by this character became something of a "MADtv" calling card for Chris, who constantly seems to be about two steps away from literally jumping out of his own skin, whether in sketches or during the various monologues that feature him. Perhaps keeping up this frantic pace took its toll on poor Chris, who regrettably decided to end his "MADtv" stay after only one season. Love him or hate him, right up to the end, he gave "MADtv" his enthusiastic all during Season Three. After "MADtv," Chris found himself once again assuming countless minor television guest appearances. Shows such as "Less Than Perfect," "The Sopranos," and "3rd Rock from the Sun" continued to offer Chris the same lack of notariety he had experienced before "MADtv." Still, the post-"MADtv" role for which Chris is perhaps best known is that of Paul in the wacky 1999 comedy movie Edtv; and even that role takes a major backseat to Matthew McConaughey's title character, who becomes a star after agreeing to let every event of his ordinary life be broadcast on television. Perhaps one can glean from the movie's premise a metaphor for what Chris probably wishes he had in his acting career: more attention and fame. However, regardless of what happens from here, Chris Hogan will surely give every future acting role, however large or small, everything he has. In time, Hollywood may indeed find good, lasting use for his incredible energy and spirit. Where are they now? As of February 2008, Chris's latest movie project is the "mockumentary" Confessions of an Action Star. When he is not acting, Chris enjoys married life with his wife, television executive Elizabeth Porter, whom he married in 2002. Television - Starring Roles:

Posting this from Mystere's "Character profile contest" incase someone, somewhere, someday decides to do a profile for this person that I have never heard of nor seen in my life, Chris Hogan. Enjoy!
MADTV ALUMNI: CHRIS HOGAN Fans will remember Chris Hogan as the frustrated police detective who could only wrestle the infamous response, "He looka like a man" from Ms. Swan following an apparent robbery. Chris was a season three regular and fan favorite. He played a number of lively characters including the colorful El Asso Wipo from the Superstars of the Mexican Wrestling Federation Theatre. El Asso struck fear into the hearts of many with his famed one line threat, "I will break your back over my knee like so!" Since MADtv, Chris Hogan has made a number of television appearances on shows such as 3rd Rock from the Sun, Martin Short's Primetime Glick, Just Shoot Me, and most recently Grounded for Life as Mr. Kersey. __________________ What happened to Andrae? ![]() |

I had to really look around to verify this, but these are upcoming Chris Hogan appearances, and they were listed under the Chris Hogan that was on MadTV, in the imdb.com site so I'll assume these are correct.
THMAX Channel: "Dont Look Back" April 5th @12.05 am April 14, @ 1.50 am on THMAX Channel I'll go ahead and assume they are Cinemax Channels __________________ I would rather sit here and accomplish nothing than accomplish something and be considered an inspiration and a role model simply because I use a wheelchair to get around. |

I think that's Thrillermax, the horror Cinemax channel.
But anyway, there was this 3-part sketch in #302 that he was in called "Accounting with Milton Cladwell" that I thought was just hilarious. __________________ Member of Caity's Sig Posse |

I never realized Milton Cladwell was a "recurring" character. I really want to see the other sketch.

I believe he's married. I looked it up on IMDb and it says he's been married to Elizabeth Portman since November 9, 2002.

Here's a link for the Untitled Dave Sheridan sitcom he was supposed to be in.
That sucks for Chris because he played a recurring role in "Grounded for Life" which recently got cancelled. ![]() __________________ "Like I always say, there's no "I" in team. There's a "me" though, if you jumble it up." -Dr. Gregory House , House M.D |
