Daniele Gaither was born in St. Paul, Minnesota on September 6th, 1972. At an early age she knew she was destined for comedy. She was always the class clown, had a knack for story telling and a love for mimicking those around her. She left Minnesota to attend Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois (The very same University that original MADtv cast member Nicole Sullivan attended) and began doing improvisation, which she says is what she loves doing most. In 1993, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, and attend the Groundlings School, where aspiring sketch and improv performers are given a systematic approach to learning improvisation and writing skills. Trained by Michael McDonald (prior to his time on MADtv), Daniele graduated the advanced level and is now a member of the Main Stage Cast and performs at the Thursday Night Improv Show at the Groundlings theatre on Melrose Avenue in Hollywood. In her comedy, she tries to represent people that you see in the streets and know in everyday life, and sometimes uses her family experiences as material, which has gotten her into trouble in the past. She does impressions of people that she grew up admiring, like Patty Labelle, Marla Gibbs and Isabelle Sanford, but also does impressions of current celebrities like Oprah, Star Jones and L'il Kim. Daniele has a strong interest in politics and "votes early and often," but admits to being scared of the thought of having Arnold running for Governor while Terminator 3 was playing in theatres. Daniele also enjoys publicly televised Courtroom trials; she moved to Los Angeles at the beginning of the OJ Simpson trial and was hooked. She considers them the "ultimate human drama" and likes "seeing people's BS exposed". Daniele is a stringent vegetarian and animal lover, and was one of the 180 celebrities nominated for PETA's 2004 "World's Sexiest Vegetarians", which Alicia Silverstone won. She also recently co-hosted the "2003 Rotten Jellyfish awards" with fellow Groundling Jennifer Coolidge. Where are they now? im working on a daniele gaither webpage as part of my desire to give some attention to featured players throughout madtv history. right now its just a skeleton, really dependent on media and images, courtesy of HiVolt. I just watched epdisode 202 for the first time today and guess what? Whoa, Daniele Gaither was in the "Dolemite Debate" sketch! She was also listed in the closing credits as:
Co-starring Daniele Gaither ..... Dolemite Girl # 1 I never new she played on MADtv as an extra. I wonder if she played in any other sketches or if anyone else appeared as an extra before being hired. As for the king of queens thing, I usually watch this show anyway, so Ill see if she is.
