i'm going away for about a week
interstate trip

i'm going to a buffy convention
(yeah sounds geeky, but i don't care)

and i'm going to ride some trams
its gonna be in Melbourne, Victoria
and i've never been so i'm really excited

That would be cool, but I don't think that MADtv has a large enough fanbase for something like that.

They don't seem to want to do too much to gain a wider fan base though... I NEVER see advertising for MADtv on my FOX station here (Buffalo WUTV FOX29). They should at least start releasing the seasons on DVD... Hrm, time to check in on our petition...

Well, "Buffy"'s ratings aren't exactly through-the-roof either actually, I think "MADtv"'s ratings may be higher

Actually Buffy's ratings are very high! TV Guide was rating the best TV shows of all time and i think Buffy rated 29 or something; pretty good I say! I've been watching the show since season 2; great show! Season 6 was crappy but this season, now that the villain is a vampire and not a computer geek, is WAY better!!!

Well I don't know about critical ratings. "Buffy"'s ratings used to be reasonably high.. its peak was in its season three. Apparently it started spiraling like quicksand in season five (it might have to do with the fact that it was moving to UPN). Ratings were rock bottom in season six, ratings are on the rise by about .3 million this season, but they're some of the lowest the show has had.

No matter what the ratings are like currently, Buffy is way more popular than MADtv ever has been. Everybody knows who Buffy/Sarah Michelle Gellar is. I bet you that if I walked around my school and asked 10 people to name one cast member from MADtv, I'd probably get zero people who would be able to name even one.

Sad, really...considering that MADtv is such a great show.

Yeah well cuz FOX never promotes MADtv, what do you expect. Makes me wonder about what's gonna happen after Season 9's contract expires...

definitely is well-known. Most people know the show, and SMG. But the last few seasons, ratings have really dropped, and they're lower than "MADtv"'s. Everyone knows the show from its heydey, not its current state.

I was wondering the same thing. How long did FOX keep "In Living Color"?

but then again, they were "pleased" with the show after the atrocious seasons six and seven.. so if they can honestly say that, anything's possible

well i got so much crap i could rant on about

i got to meet Emma Caulfield, who plays Anya on Buffy

shes so friendly and nice plus she swears like a sailor, so shes alright with me

and shes so tiny.....she looks like she'd break if a gust of wind blew

so anyway, i got a buffy musical mini replica poster and i got it signed and i got my photo taken with her

i bought a whole range of merchandie like dvds and figurines and all that crap

plus i met a whole bunch of new people who ended up being really cool

and i just ended u acting like a total dickhead the whole time

then made a big fool of myself by getting absolutley hammered infront of a whole bunch of strangers

and ended up walking 2.5 kms home drunk

so now i'm bruised and battered from wrestling with my new friends...and i'm still coming down from the high of having such a great time

ok i think i have ranted enough

theres drunk pics of me out there somewhere
but they are way to scary for any of u to view
