Default Music Recommendations

Hey does anyone have a great song, any genre of music, that they want to tell everyone about? This is the new thread to do it at. Suggest a song title, an artist or a band and maybe download or buy the whole CD and get a new favourite.

I've mentioned this song before but most people haven't heard of it. It's by a Canadian artist who has been around a few years now but never played on TV but I've heard this song many times on the radio. EDGE 102 rated this (by their fans) the 29th best rock song of 2002. It is incredibly catchy and I am surprised it didn't become a big hit. Her name is Holly McNarland and her song is called Do You Get High? Please download it and give it a try. It has nothing to do with drugs it's just a metaphor she used.

Do You Get High From His Eyes?

Abandoned Pools

Try The Remedy, Mercy Kiss, Start Over, or the Clone High Theme (Full Version).

I really like the suicide-sounding song by Gary Jules from the Donnie Darko movie:

Guard: You're not a shoplifter, you're just a fat kid. Sorry about that fatty fat fatty. Hey Tom, he's just a fat kid! Aren't you, fatty? You're just a big ol' fat kid. Here's some chocolate, fatso.
Chris: Thanks!

Nope, haven't heard of her either. Her last name sounds like "gnarly" though

Avril I agree with (can't stand her)
Celine can REALLY sing that's why she's famous
Shania Twain is just a big popstar for country

others include...

Sarah McLachlan
Amanda Marshall
Nelly Furtado
Joni Mitchell
Anne Murrey
Alanis Morissette
Chantel Kreviasek
the list goes on and on...

I meant have any of you downloaded the song "Do You Get High?"

Yeah, but so can Mariah Carey (well, used to anyway), and her music is a big fvcking joke.. I mean come on, the new album is named Charmbracelet! Not to mention both of them annoying. I used to think Celine was ok.. but after Titanic, her ship has sunk with me.
