Kara was on Lopez Tonight tonight (I know you'll want to ignore this or just want to hit the hay to avoid watching these two douches, but wait, it's worth it). In the show, Kara actually sings, and in a shocking twist, she wasn't that bad. Now I do have a few critiques like that while I was listening to her I didn't feel that she knew who she was, and I also suggest she should sing a rock song next, followed by an Elvis, then an R&B, and then a German Disco but it was a good performance. Also, she was a little pitchy... Dawg.

See, Kara's cool. She's talented, she writes for Kelly, and she knows what she's talking about. A more than worthy replacement for Paula.

I'm finding it kinda weird having the results happening right after Idol Gives Back.

Anywayz, based on last night's performances, I think Tim Urban will be going this week. Either him or Aaron Kelly. Anywayz, my predictions for the rest season are this week Tim will go, then next week Aaron will go, the week after Siobhan, then Michael, then Casey, then Lee and then Crystal will win.

No, not really. The judges have tremendous power over viewer perception, and if they're going to throw her under the bus week after week after week after week after week irrespective of how well she sings, fifth place sounds about right. She deserves far, far better, but you're probably on the money. EDIT: Unless she's the new VFTW pick. That could make things interesting.

Anyway, glad to see America got it right this week. Voting off Tim is a humanitarian effort in and of itself.

Ah, I'm watching it now and they haven't gotten to that yet! I thought Teflon Tim was great, because he had the most interesting interaction with the judges. He said what we were all saying in our living rooms. Definately the most entertaining VW.

Also, seeing the show tonight, I agree that it feels like a bad idea to vote off a contestant during Gives Back.

Ah, but even they admit she isn't the worst in the technical sense, so I'm not at all concerned. VFTW is and always has been about prolonging our entertainment and pissing off TPTB in the process, and there's no one left who's more entertaining or a bigger thorn in their sides than Shivvy. This is the best possible turn of events. I just hope they stick with her when she starts choosing good songs again.

I can't believe no one (bw) hasn't mentioned the fact that Glassblower was voted out this week. Now Bawersox is bound to win. It will be interesting to see if Idol's ratings take a hit next week. I think they will big time.

Because they lost one of, if now the most popular member on the show (let's face it, this is fixed), so ratings should go down.

I know I won't be watching. And not because of sour grapes or anything -- these last five contestants just don't appeal to me in any way, shape, or form. In fact, with Simon leaving after this season, this'll probably be the very last time you see me discuss Idol. Enjoy the moment, boys.

Oh, tvman. I know Idol doesn't care about my viewership, and I know nobody here cares whether or not I discuss it. I have no expectation of anybody honestly enjoying the moment.
