Watch the UK Office if you like Ricky Gervais. It's excellent.

East Bound & Down is fantastic, you should definitely check it out. The season just ended on Sunday.

I consider doing that from time to time, but I'm not fully sold on Ricky as of yet. He's a great talk show guest, to be sure, but his stand-up? I don't know. I feel like his material merits more laughter than I actually find myself getting out of it, and I worry the show will be the same way, so I haven't yet mustered the requisite motivation to give it a shot.

Someday, perhaps.

Yes, thumbs up for CYE. I haven't seen much, but I've seen enough to know that it merits a marathon viewing session, which I think I'll pencil in for later this month. Thanks for the reminder!

Since this thread didn't work out quite as I was hoping, I guess I'll toss in a vote of confidence for "The 4400". I'd call it a blatant Heroes knockoff -- it's a show about ordinary people with extraordinary powers, most of the themes are IDENTICAL, and just about every 4400 character has a direct Heroes counterpart -- but Heroes started a year later, so I guess we all know who knocked off whom, don't we? Plus, there's Summer, who makes even the lowliest of trash worth watching. If you're a Heroes fan who's displeased with the show's current quality/direction or a Heroes fan who just wants more of the same, you'll definitely want to check this one out. And goodness knows there are far more Heroes fans than there perhaps should be.

So I really like what i've seen so far BUT megavideo is a douche and won't lemme watch after like 15 minutes which is BS cause I haven't watched their "quota" of initial minutes yet.

Definitely a very funny show though. Comes on right after Flight of the Conchords which is just as awesome.
Fo/tC is good, but I remember this one HBO show that was quite similar, and funnier.... boy their name totally escapes me.

I used to think that Spongebob was your average run-of-the-mill Nickelodeon show, but after watching Seasons 2/3, I'm sold that it's one of the best cartoons ever.

F'real, amazing.

The new ones aren't that hot, though

I think 30 Rock has a great ensemble cast and I really enjoy it. So just watch it cause I said.

Another good show, Trust Me on tnt. It's about these guys working at an ad agency. I really like it, but i'm bias because i'm an ad major. It's still good though.

I don't like 30 Rock.

Everybody says they like it but I don't get why. I find the cast annoying, espechially Tracy Morgan, that Kennith guy, and that blond girl. I also find Tina Fey annoying in it too. I find she tries to be too gross out funny than she should.

I suggest for people to watch the Office. People say the show is going downhill, but I think they are having there best season (season 5) this season since season 2.

Another oldie but goodie I would like to mention is the Simpsons. They are also having their best season in years as well.

Chuck = Jim Halpert from The Office as a spy. Best current drama on TV after The Summer Glau Chronicles, Prison Break, and The Jack Bauer Chronicles.

As for 30 Rock, I love the cast, but the first four episodes left me very, very underwhelmed. Does it get any better? If not, I'm gonna have to pass.

I LOVE Summer Heights High. The only thing I hate is that the series is only 8 episodes long.

The Soup is pretty amazing. Joel McHale is a master of snide comments.

30 rock definitely gets much better.i wasn't really sure about it to begin with but towards the end of the first season it starts getting in to a swing of things and gets increasingly better each episode.
If you like summer heights high also check out a show called "we could be heroes" although i think nem once told me it aired in america under the name of "the nominees" or something similar to that.its made by the same guy

I'm up to S01E19 now. If it's getting better, the difference certainly isn't appreciable, but I think I'll stick with it this time around nonetheless. After cowboys in space and five seasons of Lost, suddenly, I find myself with an inexhaustible supply of patience.

Yes. For that reason and that reason alone. In fact, I guess you could say I seek Amy. Most women do.

30 Rock: Love the callbacks, love the non-stop cameos, love that they're focusing less on TGS now and more on the characters -- particularly the ones that count. Glad I stuck with it.

Working on Alias now. Jennifer Garner couldn't act her way out of a wet paper bag (at least at this stage in her career) and J.J. Abrams can't seem to write a compelling character to save his life, but at least the stories are compelling and the subject matter is up my alley this time around. Plus, the copious levels of midriff sweeten the deal to the max, even if JG is, shall we say, less than ideal in the boner coaxing department. So far, so good. Recommended to anyone and everyone who appreciates the subject matter. Or Jennifer Garner.

I would recommend SUPERNATURAL with Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki. It's coming back for it's 5th and possibly final season in September. Of course at first glance you might think it's just about two brothers hunting demons down that are based on mythology and old urban legends. But the story runs deeper than that because it shows how both brothers are struggling with internal conflicts. It's also a matter of choosing sides; one brother choosing to work with a demon to face off against semi-Luciferian demon, while the other agreeing to do God's work to stop the apocalypse. I would recommend because it's one of the only shows on the CW that has substance, and plus the two brothers are eye-catchers ^_^

Oh I also would recommend Chelsea Lately on E! It comes on every night at 11pm EST. She is downright hilarious, her and her assistant Chuy. She features roundtables with 3 fellow comedians/actors, sketches on occasion, and interviews with celebrities. Definitely worth watching.

I LOVE the Soup. I started torrenting it a month ago, and can't stop now. It's amazingly hilarious. Some parts are kind of slow, but it's great, all in all.
