Everyone I know at school can't seem to get enough of my Stuart impressions. There's Stuart tonight on Comedy Central and tomorrow on the repeat of the 200th! There was one last night plus another on Tuesday, I'm so happy after that long no-Stuart dryspell.

It kind of makes me mad that Stuart is what makes people watch the show. Around here people watch it for Stuart. IMO, Stuart makes me sick. Not really Stuart, the fact that Michael is always walking around in his underwear in all the sketches. Its really gross, but it adds to the humor. And Ms.Larkin is hella funny too.

I don't watch it because of Stuart, he's just one of my favorite characters. I think the reason I started watching is because it is something different from SNL. MADtv isn't afraid to push the limits, and it's completely different from SNL. Until SNL sees MADtv and decides they need to copy their sketches because Lorne Michaels can't think of a new direction for the show.

My favorite characters are Stuart & Doreen, Ms. Campbell, Trina/Lorraine, Swan, and (usually) Dot. If they didn't depend on their recurring characters so much, the show would be different. I think it would be great if there was one of the recurring characters each episode, wheras a lot of times now they don't even do one of the favorite characters for months, and sometimes (in the past seasons) when they did 3-5 of the recurring characters (particularly seasons 6-7). If they did a Stuart sketch one week, and a Dot sketch the next week, a Trina (not anymore I guess) the following week, and so on, instead of three in one episode. There have been 36 Swan sketches in 4 years!

Paul Vogt Luvah- If you ever do get to go to tapings, Me my friends don't mind watching out for you. There are a couple of tips about the tapings if you read thru this thread! Also, Jim_Cockhurtz is right, it would be great to get some one else doing these experiences, we caould watch each other's backs, and if one of us forgot something, then the other one would probably remember it-- like insurance for the thread! I hope that you DO get to go to a taping next season, And don't worry, I'll be posting any thing I hear about the first taping of the season!

Also, I'm sad that Madtv's becoming "chepened" but SNL went thru the same thing, and, with the exception of the horrible Head writer and some of the stars, they're the better for it. If MAdtv starts gettingmore recognition, more people performing on the show will have a chance of becoming real stars, perhaps the show will even get to produce a few of their own movies. You never know, but more publicity, even if that means a little sacrifice, will ost likely be a good thing.

Thanks rockstarjoker! Much appreciated! I did learn a lot of what goes on when you visit MAD tV live from reading the experiences posted here.
