Hey, guys. I just got The Killers' debut CD Hot Fuss. After opening up the CD case and reading liner notes, I am disappointed that...



They didn't include the song lyrics inside the inner sleeve.



I also bought the Foo Fighters' One By One, and they don't include the song lyrics among the liner notes, either.

Does anyone else here get irked whenver you buy a CD and find out that the artist(s) didn't include the song lyrics inside the inner sleeve? Does anyone know who decides whether or not to include the lyrics within the liner notes?

You can look up the lyrics to pretty much ANY song out there on the internet...

What kind of music is it? I haven't heard of The Killers.

As for the lyrics and things I think bands have the option of putting in lyrics.. I remember someone talking about it in an interview but I can't remember who.. sorry

I've liked the Killers for over a year now, and even though they've hit the mainstream with a bang, I still love them. I remember how their concert I attended last year was relitively empty. Now they hold concerts at stadiums rather than a club.

It doesn't bug me when bands don't include lyrics in their cds. There are a million websites which have all their lyrics listed.

Sorry if I've made a big deal over this issue. I just think it's a huge compliment to a CD if bands include lyrics to the liner notes. That's all.

As for the lyrics thing...it would be great if they had the lyrics in the CD. But I don't mind looking them up on the internet.

Hot Fuss is a great CD, i like every song except one which is rare. As for the lyrics thing i like when they include a lyrics page also, because sometimes internet sites have lyrics all mispelled and wrong and it's annoying.

My favorite track has to be Mr. Brightside.

Smile like You Mean it reminds me of some song, but I just don't know what one. ilovestewie, they are alt rock. You should listen to them online before you buy the CD, go to iTunes or something.

... hasn't been released yet, but the new release, "When You Were Young" is decent, although a bit cheesy. "He doesn't even look like Jesus ..." Ok there.

From beginning to end, Hot Fuss was a pretty kick ass album. I have a hard time listening to them most of the time, because there are usually 3 great songs, and then 7-9 absolute crap songs to fill the CD out. I can't think of one track off Hot Fuss that wasn't memorable and really good, and while my initial interest in the band has waned, I still have high hopes for the new album. Although, supposedly the band is taking a "more American" direction, as opposed to British glam rock which "influenced" or could be seen/heard in the first. I think the video for "When You Were Young" reflects this as they all look like dirty Mexicans, or at worst the early stages of a Village People tribute band (no offense intended). Anyway, I hope it measures up to the first.

I'm glad that the Killers are coming back, too. When You Were Young is great make-out song.

The new Evanescence album comes out the same day that Sam's Town comes out, which is exciting. Which will top the charts?

I can't wait for Avril Lavigne's new album to come out.

I had to listen to it a lot to truly appreciate it, it wasn't just instant obsession like Hot Fuss. I love the title track the most, "Read My Mind", and "Bones" are also A++. When We Were Young is great, but with all first singles, they get kind of ooollldddd. I hate the radio for this reason.
