It's not gonna be a shitty one on the stage like last time, is it?

Also, does anyone have the real promo that aired during the show last Saturday?

I didn't watch MADtv last Saturday because the February episodes were iffy with me, regardless of how well they nailed the format.

As far as the Coach Hines sketch, there's a good chance they'll be using the stage again--we'll be lucky if it's an on-location sketch like practically everything else was this season. If the Coach Hines bit was indeed filmed on the stage, I could only hope that they utilized the space properly the way they did for sketches such as Governor Castel Resigns, and even The Johnny Gan Show.

ANOTHER Coach Hines????

WHAT????

Why????

There are so many characters which have not featured at all this season....yet Coach Hines gets 2 outings?

That simply makes no sense.

Typical!

Maybe the MAD tv producers think that Coach Hines is a beloved character. It wouldn't be too late to feature a Stuart sketch (but Michael may have put that to rest forever).

I think, regardless of how funny it is, I'm going to watch the full episode of MAD tv just so I can complete a full review of it here on Planet Mad TV!

Plus, I've been following MAD tv all of this season and it would be a shame if I missed an episode now. I haven't followed MAD tv for several seasons like other forum members, but I still feel a little attached to the show.

Well too me, i have been following MADtv since the Beginning and too this season is not the worst too me, im sorry just because we had a writers strike does not mean the show was bad, if you look at the season, it is pretty good in sketch material, speaking of the SNL/MAD TV saga, too me i watch Mad cause Nicole, Bobby, Michael, Arden, Jordan, Keegan and Crista are talented people and on SNL, the only person i would think too me is talent on there is Darrell, the man is like Caliendo of SNL or the Michael McDonald, i cannot wait to see the 14th season cause i want to see if they are going to keep the same format or not

I can only hope they do Ciach Hines onstage with a set. On location skits really tick me off when they could easily have been done onstage. And not to dissolve this into an Snl thread, but Darrell is definitely only there because he can do [mediocre] impressions. Kristen, Amy, Fred, and Andy definitely stand out for me. (I'd love to see what andy could bring to MADtv.)

It doesn't matter to me where the Coach Hines sketch is filmed as long as I get to see Bobby's last performance as Yamanashi. I just remembered that he and Coach Hines have had some funny moments in the past. Remember when he played "Oliver Twist"?

I just want to say that it's a damn shame that the show has been reduced to only 14 eps in Season 14. I hope they really work hard on each and every one.

Based on production, S14 will have more episodes, but only by 2. As far the actual number of episodes per season, S14 will be the shortest in the show's history with only 14 episodes; S13 has a total of 16 (including the not-so-great Best Of's).

Well, obviously I wasn't counting the best ofs...you might as well include the repeats if you include the best ofs.

So my point stands - Season 14 will have more episodes

1) Credit Card Song- Oster's not a host. But not funny.

2) Dr. Phil- Great use of stage! I love her Brintey impression, and I love any Dr. Phil sketch. The best part was the row of upskirts. Good performance by Arden, too. Oster once again not a host... a good sign. Overall, not LOL, but the lighting was right

---AT THIS COMMERCIAL BREAK THEY USE THE OLD THEME SONG FOR A SPONSORHIP MESSAGE.. WEIRD.

3) Spin Up- All I can say is... They need to chroma key better. I didn't see the point here. So far, I'm not too impressed with this episode.

4) 24 w. Bobby Lee- Not bad for a Bobby Lee skit, but pretty bad for a 24 w/ Bobby.

5) Oprah Fave 5- Filler. Don't do that.

--COMMERCIAL--

6) Coach Hines- Coach Hines does not work well when it's pre-taped. Without Bobby Lee cracking up, its not as funny. I love Jordan's gay character, though. And why the heck are they in a field? Doing... battle? Paintball? What Coach does that? Keep him in school.

7)Simon Fave 5 - FILLER. NO.

--COMMERCIAL--

I switched to SNL at this point... will complete review tomorrow.

From what I saw turning back between commercials, the seconds half is exponentially better. Sesame Street and Luann Lockhart, which was hilarious.

Was the credit card song a parody? If so, who was Oster playing?

Dan was parodying the guy who does those "FREE CREDIT REPORT" commercials, Eric Violette--a native, French speaking Canadian.

They gave the Castmember elimination sketch based off of Americal Idol.

Who got eliminated? Or was it a cop out ending where no one ended up going?

Bobby was eliminated, but it was revealed that Ronnie (the old guy) was involved in a sex scandal with him being a stripper--lampooning the David Hernandez scandal this season on Idol. In the end Ronnie was sent home, and Bobby was kept on the show.

Was this Bobby Lee's last episode? He didnt say anything before the credits, I assumed he would say something if it were his last episode.
