Overall I liked today's episode a lot, but I voted for "Crista & Bobby's Triathlon" as my favorite, only because Crista looked so sexy.

I kind of felt guilty because the sketch that actually made me laugh the most was Knock Knock...very funny.

Oh, yeah, I liked the Hanna Montana one too, cause she was singing.

I wouldn't be surprised if both Michael and Nicole have left at this point.

Post bw's Review of #1310

Hannah Montana: Drug Party: Yet another example of concept over comedy from the writing department. As expected, there's nothing particularly clever here, but, as is typically the case, Crista's impression and facial expressions alone were enough to make this one worthwhile. "IIIIIIIIII KNOOOOOOOOOOW!" That's spit-take material right there, folks. From what I've seen of Hannah Montana -- about a minute's worth while channel surfing -- the parody was spot-on as well, so I think I'll be generous and give this a 3.5. I'd still like to see you raise your game, writers, but, failing that, I suppose that tossing Crista in every single sketch would be acceptable as well.

Eddie Thundercloud: Illegal Immigration: 'Tis the season for political humor! I liked all three of these segments, but, as seems to be the standard lately, they just weren't uproariously funny. More than acceptable, though. Good(ish) stuff.

Crista & Bobby's Triathlon: So, let's see what we have here: Crista starring, Crista writing, and, in following, Crista personally choosing to show off her lovely self? Well, if that qualifies as out of shape, my dear, then out of shape me up! Bobby getting abused, Crista distraught about performing CPR on our favorite doughy mess, excellent back-and-forth between two of the show's top personalities of all-time, jokes on forum staple topics such as Crista's retina-incinerating skin and Bobby's (equally retina-incinerating) acting... what's not to like? Outside of an unfortunate blur-job by the censors (I guess they've learned their lesson ), this, not unlike last week's "24" parody (minus the lack of Michelle, of course), turned out to be another case of me being given *EXACTLY* what I wanted to see. Well, objectivity, it was nice knowing you! As a sketch I'll be saving and watching again and again (and no, not for *that* reason; well, not *just* for that reason, at least), I once again can't justify giving this anything less than 4.5. In fact, I'm tempted to award the full five stars, and, you know what? I will! The only negative thing I could say here -- and, because it wasn't an issue, I'm choosing not to dock marks for it -- is that, without Crista and Bobby at the helm, the writing wouldn't have stood on its own. This, ladies and gentlemen, is why it's so important to have a likeable cast. Let's see Stephnie and Paul try to make this one work!

Eddie Thundercloud: Foreign Policy: Perhaps letting the censors loose on this episode was for the best after all.

Johnny Gan: Movie Guesses!: Please, I beg of you -- retire this "God"-awful character. He has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. If these sketches aren't straight improv, I may have another mission for the gun-toting monkey.

Eddie Thundercloud: Medical Insurance: A solid conclusion to a trilogy that could've been so much more.

Fairview Fire Report: Truth be told, I'm not entirely sure what happened here. By all rights, this should've been *much* funnier than it was, but it just didn't do a whole lot for me. Too predictable, I guess. That, and it never escalated to an appropriate level of hyperbole. Better luck next time?

Knock-Knock Negroes: In essence, what we have here is the male edition of Coffee Twins, minus the strong personalities of Crista and Arden to carry it. Unfortunately, without that key component... what's left? This was mildly amusing for what it was, but it dragged on *far* too long, and I *certainly* wouldn't want to see these characters again.

Rice & Beans Tour - Part V: I'm getting awfully close to instating a "-1 for presence of Rice & Beans" modifier as well. #1311's installment had damn well better be the last!

Closing: Knock-Knock Negroes Outtakes: Again, outtakes are always acceptable. If possible, though, it'd be nice to see something truly funny like the Sesame Street outtakes from... whichever episode that was. In fact, while Bobby's still around, it'd be nice to see a few new Sesame Streets as well!

Overall: Like last week, tonight's episode started off with a bang; unlike last week, though, after said bang trickled off, the rest of #1310 was, to borrow a line from Johnny Gan, hard and sloppy. Because we're still in the midst of the strike, I'm willing to overlook the encores for now, but don't even *think* about pulling that trick come #1312. Seriously. To borrow a line from the sketch after which Johnny Gan *should've* been retired, I *will* cut off your penis and balls. The bright side here is that, for the first time this season, Crista was *FINALLY* given the chance to prove her worth, and prove it she did! Again, we *NEED* to see more of this girl; wasting a talent so bright is an offense that should be punishable by death itself! In any event, consistency dictates that this episode should receive no more than 4/10, but, thanks to Crista's top-tier offering, I'm bumping that up to 4.5/10. For some reason, I have a feeling next week is going to be even worse.

Episode MVP: For writing and starring in one of the funniest sketches all season long and causing me to burst out laughing on several occasions -- something that few (if any) others did tonight -- this one's all Crista's. In a manner of speaking, she certainly brought the goods this week!

Corrections: I've gone back and shifted #1309's Prison Break commercial and final two animated segments down half a star. Those ratings were far too generous.

Being that the show will probably go back to the format used in episodes 1305-1308, we'll know if those 2 left if they're present during the cast closing.

The ironic thing is that Bobby Lee is getting a huge amount of cameratime- more than he ever got before.

Bobby's been this year's MVP, although he's been in a lot of bad sketches too. So has everyone though.

This is just an abysmal season.

Default Oh My God!

That had to be one of the worst, if not THE worst, show MadTV has ever put out, and, after the crap they have been putting out the last three seasons, that's saying something.

To the remaining funny cast members, and there aren't many of you left, get out now before you are forever tainted by this disaster of a show.

I still don't agree that Bobby is the MVP. Just because he's used the most doesn't mean he's the MVP. If Crista, Nicole, and Jordan were used even half as much as he is this season, they'd be MUCH more MVP-worthy then Bobby.

And I agree that it's an abysmal season. Honestly, I'm starting to prefer Season 7 to this season. At least in Season 7, although they produced a LOT of mindless crap, they knocked it out of the park occasionally...I haven't seen anything this season that i'd even consider calling classic. The closest they've come is probably with Sad Fitty Cent.

Okay, even I'll admit that this episode is barely superior to the stopped-up "terlets" known as Seasons 9 and 10; still, there are at least four laugh-worthy original sketches in 1310, the best of which is (predictably enough) "Crista and Bobby's Triathlon." I'm getting pretty sick and tired of agreeing with you guys, so cut it out! Anyway, full review later.

Well if we're comparing Crista and Stephnie...Steph would never write something so lame, thus she wouldn't need to lower herself to "make it work"

Default G's Review of 1310

Hey folks, the WHO/WHAT for Episode #1310 is up. Please take a look and let me know if there are any mistakes or if you notice something missing

Anyways I figured that I'd give my review of this "illustrious" episode **hint sarcasm.**

Hannah Montana: Drug Party: I have to admit that this was a clever idea at first, but it lacked the satire elements that would have made this sketch a roaring success. The parody was dead on, especially with the kiddy laugh track (which is just like the real show). The good thing about this sketch was that Crista was in it, and I can't picture anyone else impersonating Hannah Montana.

Eddie Thunderclound: Illegal Immigration: Ahhh who would have thought that a character from a news segment from season 11 would run for President of the United States. All three segments were unique in their own little way; they weren't terrible, but they weren't that great. I did enjoy Johnny Sanchez in the second part wearing that wig because it's believable--I can really picture him walking around in public with it. Overall it's nice to see some political humor.

Crista & Bobby's Triathlon: Wow! Crista finally got some airtime ^_^. Not only that, but she wrote the sketch herself. Quite honestly, this was the best sketch of the night. There was some good use of physical humor here which made it worth watching. The whole concept and quality of this sketch came from the fact Crista and Bobby were able to pull it off, and I can't picture any other pair pulling it off like they did. Kudos to this sketch.

Eddie Thundercloud: Foreign Policy: Again, it wasn't bad but it wasn't that good either. I felt pretty much the same about all three segments, but with Johnny in the wig...that was priceless.

Johnny Gan: Movie Guesses!: This was a pure "wtf" moment for me. I sat here, thinking about jumping off the roof while watching this. This was just awful; you could even tell Bobby didn't enjoy doing this. No stars.

Eddie Thundercloud: Medical Insurance: Ehhh, see above.

Fairview Fire Report: ????? Are you serious? This was very pointless and it didn't seem to be going anywhere.

Knock-Knock Negroes: Similar to what Blackwind said, these two guys are clones of the Coffee Twins. The only problem here was that it dragged for TOO long, and this type of concept seems more fitting for people like Arden and Crista.

Rice & Beans Tour - Part V: ...............Words cannot describe how irrelevant this thing is. Again, looking at Bobby's expressions one could easily come to the conclusion that he does not want to be doing this tour. If there is any sanity left over at MADtv, Bobby and Johnny finding a strip club will be the end of this pointless adventure. No stars

Closing: Knock-Knock Negroes Outtakes: Ehhh, just see above for this one.

Overall: Sigh....MADtv, what happened to you guys? If there's anything I've learned in life, is that you should never pay attention to superstitions. 13 is always said to be an unlucky number, and I was under the impression that MADtv was going to make 13 into a lucky number and come back stronger than ever. Instead we only get 10% of the effort. The format was nailed and worked out extremely well, but the sketches were just flat out awful with exception of 2 (Hannah Montana and the Triathlon). The positive out of episode 1310, is that Crista was given the airtime she truly deserved and I say that because she is highly under-utilized especially this season. I give this episode a 4/10. Last week was a so-so episode, last night's was just awful. I can only imagine what's in store for next week

Episode MVP: Crista Flanagan--Hannah Montana was dead on parody wise, even though it wasn't stellar. Big props for writing the Triathlon scene. It showed that Crista and Bobby have great chemistry in sketches together.

don't say that.....them and Crista are helping this cast stay alive........I would cry if they left.....I missed this episode, but it's good to here it's back to it's old format. Why doesn't Bobby post on here anymore....at least he could give us a cast update. That sketch with him next week looks funny.

FINALLY some sketches with Christa in them this season. More Christa!

The good: Hannah Montana Parody

The bad: 2 Encore sketches! Lame recurring characters! No more Rice and Beans!

The ugly: Johnny Gan, Rice and Beans

The cast isn't really the problem at this point. It's the way they're utilized and the writing they're being given.

As much as I love Nicole, I wouldn't mind seeing her leave at this point. It's really just sad seeing this great cast being used so poorly.

The writers just need to get their perverbial s*** together when they get back to work. They have half of the season left to improve.
