Post Episode S13E09 (Aired 2008-02-02)

Avril Lavigne & Lil Mama: "Black Friend"
Avril Lavigne (Arden Myrin) teams up with Lil Mama (Daheli Hall) to sing about how she's glad to finally have a black friend. Lil Mama raps about how her record label called her last minute to shoot the video, and how Avril has raccoon eyes and tunes that stink like skunks. She also raps about how Avril was being sued for stealing her song idea from former recording artist Toni Basil (Crista Flanagan). She concludes by saying she only accepted the offer because of the money offered for her appearance.

Credits: Arden Myrin (Avril Lavigne), Daheli Hall (Lil Mama), Crista Flanagan (Toni Basil)

Dan Oster's "24" Parody
Jack Bauer (Dan Oster) aggressively interrogates 3 suspects and is told by his partner Tony Almeida (Johnny Sanchez) to go easy on them because they need them. Jack starts with Suspect A (an old man) by asking where the ambassador is being held captive, and what the launch codes are. He shoots the old man in the leg when he gets no response saying he wasn't hard enough on him. The next Suspect (little boy) is questioned by Jack who asks where the detonators are, and where his daughter is. He takes the little boy's teddy bear and rips his head off when the boy is unable to answer his questions. The final Suspect is none other than an orangutan whom he threatens with a Serbian death-knot. He asks the orangutan where the submarine is, and ends up shooting himself. The orangutan gets in possession of a gun and the scene ends with Jack using his infamous "dammit!"

Credits: Dan Oster (Jack Bauer), Johnny Sanchez (Tony Almeida)

Claymation: Auditions - Chemistry
A bald man, a robot, and an elderly-esque insane man, each audition with a woman named Francis to see if there lays any chemistry between them. The 3 males each get aroused by the size of Francis' boobs and decide to fondle her instead of going along with the scripted audition. At the end, it is revealed that Francis is none other than a man dressed as a woman.

Dragon Hunter II Mo-Cap Session
A Motion Capture Stunt Guy (Bobby Lee as himself) is given orders to act out certain sequences which will be recorded and replaced with CGI graphics for a game called Dragon Hunter II. The director gives out orders that portray sexual act, such as masturbation, jerking off, swallowing, playing with testicles, fingering and even anal intercourse while being told that such acts earn the character points. In the end, the director tells Bobby that the recording session will end with a makeout scene involving the princess, who happens to be another MoCap Stunt Guy (Johnny Sanchez). The director says not to worry because "she'll be hot in CGI."

Credits: Dan Oster (Director), Bobby Lee (Mo-Cap Stunt Guy: Hero), Johnny Sanchez (Mo-Cap Stunt Guy: Princess)

Commercial: Prison Break
A commercial promoting the 3rd season of Prison Break talks about the show and how Michael Scofield will break back into the prison, break out again, and break back in once more due to some unfinished business. The voice-over notes the difficulty of the task because the prison is considered a Hell-Hole where most of the inmates don't speak English and Gonorrhea is served for breakfast. He adds by saying that this season will contain 9 stabbings, 5 suicides, and nudity including a shot of Wentworth Miller's butt in every episode. Lastly, Chaka Khan is said to guest star in this season for the Thanksgiving episode when she goes to the prison to perform but is later used as a drug mule who dies due to an overdose when the condom stuffed with heroin breaks. The commercial ends with the announcer saying season 3 can be found online via FOX on Demand, iTunes, YouTube, MySpace, Friendster, Facebook, the Chinese Black Market, and the Craigslist Barter Section.

Fantastico de la Television!
Several news anchors from different news broadcasts discuss tragedies taking place ranging from a raid in Iraq leaving people dead, the US getting one step closer to war with Iran, Cancer rates increasing, murder, priests being charged with child molestation and even someone dying from poisoning. Throughout the channel surfing, Fantastico de la Television is shown on a Spanish network, where the host (Johnny Sanchez) and the audience members partake in gimmicks and shenanigans from dancing with a show girl, a clown hitting people with a rubber hammer, and a midget throwing candy to the audience. In the end, the news anchors report that a meteor will impact the Earth resulting in the end of the world.

Criss Angel Mindfreak: Flavor Flav
Mindfreak's very own Criss Angel (Michael McDonald) demonstrates his abilities with sorcery by utilizing the help of "random strangers" in the park consisting of a girl with a shower rod (Crista Flanagan), a toolmaker (Arden Myrin), and a black man (Keegan-Michael Key). The 3 strangers say they have never met, that the entire scenario is not scripted, and that they are not paid to be there. Criss does a trick with the shower curtain that makes Flavor Flav (Jordan Peele) appear, stating he will be his assistant. Criss asks Flavor for his clock, and is slowly getting irritated by Flavor repeating his name. He covers the clock with a silk hander kerchief, that he breaks with a "real hammer" given to him by the toolmaker girl. He "breaks" the clock with the hammer (which is in fact rubber) and after yelling at and making Flavor upset for doing the wrong trick, he gives him back his clock. Criss plans to disappear because he has a date with sorcery, and he can clearly be seen running away in the background. Flavor concludes saying he'll do his own trick called "put a baby in your stomach" and makes out with the blonde girl.

Credits: Michael McDonald (Criss Angel), Crista Flanagan (Girl with Shower Rod), Arden Myrin (Toolmaker Girl), Keegan-Michael Key (Man with Large Fabric), Jordan Peele (Flavor Flav)

MAD Encore: A Helping Hand (#1117)
A mother tells her kids that she's making Hamburger Helper for dinner once again. She calls for the aid of the Hamburger Helper Hand, stating she only called him because she feels lonely. Both end up in bed together, and the Hamburger Helper Hand decides to leave because he gets freaked out by the mother telling him she loves him.

Credits: Nicole Parker (Mother), Keegan-Michael Key (Hamburger Helper Hand)

Chinese Toy Inspector
A Chinese Toy Inspector, Cho (Bobby Lee) is filmed by a fellow worker (Keegan-Michael Key) who claims China has been disgraced by the fact that their toys have been recalled. The purpose of the footage is to show that the products are carefully inspected and top quality. The inspector instead makes faces at the camera and waves. He continues by taking toy dogs yelling if it has passed or failed. He is reprimanded by the camera man since he is not supposed to yell its status, and the failed products should be placed in their proper bin. The inspector yells out loud that he is writing something, and begins a lead test stating that sometimes he yells out loud. He goofs by standing upfront and pretending as those the armadillo toys are coming out of his mouth. Another inspector is placed in his position, who is later bothered by Cho. He begins dancing for the camera, which forces the camera man to call security to escort Cho out of the building.

Credits: Bobby Lee (Cho-Chinese Toy Inspector), Keegan-Michael Key (Director)

Claymation: Auditions - Fight Scene
A prostitute, and elderly woman, and middle-aged woman all audition for a fight scene. The prostitute asks what the difference between fighting and get naked is. The old woman performs karate moves, but is turned down by the judge. The middle-aged woman complains about her struggle traveling to the auditions, and pulls out a gun and begins shooting everywhere.

Sista Revolution: Alphabetology of Love
Sista-Revolution comes out on stage at a café and performs one of her poems called the "Alphabetology of Love." She dedicates the poem to her ex-boyfriend who happens to be present, Quantam Leap. Her words create a level of discomfort for Quantam, and she concludes by telling him to call her. [Intro provided by Keegan-Michael Key.]

Credits: Daheli Hall (Sista Revolution), Jordan Peele (Quantam Leap)

Rice & Beans Tour - Part IV
Bobby and Johnny continue their tour of the American Heartland. Bobby mentions that the ventriloquist from the Titanic Museum is not ventriloquism but in fact witchcraft, stating he plays the games of God. The two arrive at the KOA Campground, where Bobby asks the workers what to do in case of an emergency, such as a bear mauling his foot and Johnny doing the same to his feet. The female worker tells him that in those cases, one should bend over and kiss their butt goodbye. Bobby says that white people on the West Coast like to do drugs and get with hookers on Saturday nights. He tells the male worker that he finds the group friendly and wants to live in his mustache in a non-gay fashion. Bobby asks if there are any strip clubs in Branson, Missouri and the workers tell him to Google one. Bobby and Johnny are checked in and agree to stay at the campground and sleep in the RV. The segment concludes with Johnny sucking on Bobby's toes, with Bobby telling him he doesn't like it.

Credits: Bobby Lee (himself), Johnny Sanchez (himself)

Claymation: Auditions - Love
A large black man talks about no one being better to play a love role better than he can. He mentions how he has natural, human pheromones that can easily attract women to him. He continues by stating that when he walks, he is love and that when he's with a girl, its love. Auditions end with him pulling out a sandwich from his stomach and eating it.

Credits: N/A

MAD Encore: Stuart Gets New Shoes (#906)
Doreen and Stuart go shoe shopping, where Stuart tells Carol (Nicole Sullivan) that he wants Cowboy Boots just for kicks. Doreen tells Carol that she can't afford the boots and prefers to have the boots switched for sneakers. Stuart bluntly tells Carol that his mom would get him cowboy boots if he behaves and promises not to tell anyone how much she drinks at night. Stuart tries the boots on and decides he wants to go home wearing them. Carol tells Stuart his mom's plan to switch the boots for sneakers. Stuart says it's okay because his mom is lonely and her life is tragic and he'd prefer her to get the Easy Spirits. Doreen decides that she'll give up the Easy Spirits so Stuart can have his boots, but she says she won't give up drinking.

Credits: Nicole Sullivan (Carol), Mo Collins (Doreen Larkin), Michael McDonald (Stuart Larkin)

Closing: Chinese Toy Inspector Outtakes
Cho, the Chinese Toy Inspector (Bobby Lee) continues his gimmicks of playing with the toys on the treadmill "attempting to save the toys."

Finally, a new episode. During the encore of 1308 last night, they gave a preview for next week's episode. One sketch confirmed is that of a "24" parody with Johnny Sanchez and Dan Oster. Dan is going to be portraying Jack Bauer. Johnny is going to be portraying a hispanic character, of course I don't watch the show so I don't really know squat about it. I guess we could also place a safe bet that Rice and Beans Pt.4 will air as well.

Bad MADtv is better than no MADtv.

I'm still wondering if some of the skecthes were written by non-WGA writers?

Well it's possible that they were written by non-union writers. If FOX hired non-union writers to write these sketches, then there's a good chance the quality of the sketches will be either average or below average. Of course there's no definitive way of knowing until we see the episode. It's possible that these sketches were filmed before the strike and they never made it to air. We'll just have to wait until next week.

Crista had better make an appearance in this sketch, Dan.

To a 99.9% degree of certainty, no. That would be foolish.

So, we're once again in need of someone to handle episode summaries and guide updates. Any takers? If you're interested (and willing to stick with us for more than two episodes), drop me a PM.

On another note, I realize the Super Bowl is coming up, Dan, but that's a door -- not a football. Kick accordingly.

There's a music video for Avril Lavigne's "Girlfriend" called "I have a black friend" with Arden playing Avril, Daheli playing Lil Mama and a cameo by Crista as Toni Basil (two cookies to the person who first figures out the connection... or even knows who Toni Basil is!)

I had to do a little research on that one but I had figured that much.

Most MadTV music videos are good, so maybe we can look forward to this.

Arden's complicated, Daheli wears lip gloss, and Crista's so fine, she blows my mind?

Seriously, though, I have no idea whatsoever.

The entire video is on FOX.com. It's a very short music video parody, single set. It does its job but don't expect to be blown away.

Daheli was funny in it, and so was Arden....Crista was random but still funny. Wasn't my number one fav, but it still was funny. It reminded me of the old MAD TV. Before all the new changes they did.

Toni Basil is that "Hey Mickey" singer. I'm pretty sure Daheli said "hey mickey" somewhere in there before Crista did that cartwheel.

I was actually impressed by it. One of the better things from this season, to be quite honest.
