Default And the season 9 cast is.....(drumroll please).....

Well guys, I talked to the inside source and looks like the season nine cast will be (although this hasn't officially been announced and there a few missing names)...

Ike Barinholtz
Frank Caliendo
Mo Collins
Bobby Lee
Michael McDonald
Josh Meyers
Ron Pederson
Aries Spears
Stephnie Weir

Featuring...
Daniele Gaither
Nicole Parker
Jordan Peele

Paul Vogt has returned but I'm unaware of his status as featured player or perminant

Departing cast...
Christina Moore
Debra Wilson

and more to come. Since this isn't complete, it remains rumour.
www.groundlings.com also reported Ted Michaels to be on MADtv.

I know that the previous information is a rumor, but I do hope they bring in way more females into the cast than what it is at present (2 out of 9 of the supposed regular cast and 4 out of 12 if you add in the featured cast).

That's good. I liked Paul Vogt. The show needs a fat guy. Some might say Aries Spears fits the description too, heheh....

I don't think they'd make him a featured player again... So he must be a regular- Hes funny but I wouldn't really care if he didn't come back. he does a good Charlotte Rae Impression!

I agree. One reason being, as incredibly talented as they are, Mo and Stephnie simply cannot carry the show by themselves in respect to female roles. Another reason being that the new Nicole and whatever other females they add to the show seem to lack TV experience, and although I can't say for sure whether or not they are talented(I haven't seen them) it would seem to be difficult for them as well. I just don't know.

Lastly, If it ends up that it's just Mo and Stephnie as the only two regular cast members, I think that it would severely limit the roles they have and the sketches they appear in, as I think it would be exhausting to appear in every single sketch in every single episode during the upcoming season.

voices for the series "Futurerama"

Orlando Jones (1995-1997)
Appeared in a series of 7up Commericals and did several films
including Double Take and Drumline and now host the FX series
"The Orlando Jones Show".

Phil LaMarr (1995-2000)
Has done various cartoon series including the lead voice
of "Samurai Jack"

Artie Lange (1995-1996)
Did the TV series "Norm" with ex-SNL cast member Norm
MacDonald and appears frequently on the Howard Stern Radio
Show.

Mary Scheer (1995-1998)
Did a flim with horror queen "Elvira" and does voices for Spike
TV series "Most Extreme Elimination Challenge"

Nicole Sullivan (1995-2001)
Joined hit TV Sitcom "King Of Queens" as a regular in 2001 and

Exclamation FIANALLY!!!

mad tv.com 08.19.03

Returning cast members are: Frank Caliendo, Mo Collins, Bobby Lee, Michael McDonald, Aries Spears and Stephnie Weir. Joining the regular cast are: Ike Barinholtz, Josh Meyers, Ron Pederson and Paul Vogt.

The all-new featured cast members are: Daniele Gaither, Nicole Parker, Jordon Peele and Gillian Vigman.

So I don't have much of my lunch left... Havn't heard Gillian Vigman mentioned before, I'll do some research when I get home if I have to but anyone know about Gillian Vigman?

Gillian is apparently a member of the Eclipse Theater in Chicago. The official website doesn't have a full bio on her, neither did any other place I looked. This past season the Eclipse Theater did Neil Simon works. Other than that the only other thing she is credited for is a guest spot on "Scrubs" as a female patient and for something called "My Drama Queen"

I found this info on Daniele Gaither from the Groundlings website. She's African American, which means she was probably hired to be a replacement for our dear departed Debra.

Thank goodness that Gillian is a female. The cast is in dire need of some female cast members as pointed out by..

Also, with the four new male cast members joining the regular cast, I would've thought that at least one of the males would've left. Anyways, I can imagine the opening credits for this coming season. If all the featured players are going to be in the season opener, that announcer in the background is going to have to speak faster, since the MADtv theme isn't that long.

Total perminant cast- 10

total males- 8

total females- 2

total black males- 1

total black females- 0

total white males- 6

total white females- 2

Sounds like a SNL type cast to me. Compare the 2003-04 season of MADtv to the 2001-02 season of SNL:

Jimmy Fallon----------Ron Pederson
Will Ferrell------------Frank Caliendo
Ana Gasteyer--------Stephnie Weir
Darrell Hammond---Michael McDonald
Chris Kattan----------Josh Meyers
Tracy Morgan---------Aries Spears
Chris Parnell----------Ike Barinholtz
Horatio Sanz----------Paul Vogt
Molly Shannon--------Mo Collins

Rachel Dratch (F)----Gillian Vigman
Tina Fey (F)-----------Nicole Parker
Jerry Minor (F)--------Jordan Peele
Maya Rudolph (F)----Daniele Gaither

SNL doesn't hire Asians so I coudn't find a spot for Bobby Lee on there.

I think Frank's more comparable to Darrell Hammond since they both do impressions most of the time.

She also guest starred in the movies Dragonfly and Love 101.

I also found this website where they have animation clips and she did a voice in an animation short calld "Burro", you can find it here.

... I just love my "Corpernic Agent" search tool!

I can't believe they only have 2 full-time female cast members. That's really stupid.
