Oh yeah, I forgot about that.

In that case...then we DEFINITELY aren't going to see the full 18 episodes.

"The WGA West board of directors and the WGA East Council will meet Sunday to formally endorse the contract. And writers could be back at work as early Monday, depending on whether the WGA’s ruling bodies decide whether to end the three-month strike at those Sunday meetings."

That's true, but I can't see them airing a new episode every single week, especially considering this is FOX who doesn't give a crap about the show. It may not be drastically cut, but I still have the feeling it'll be cut a little bit.

Well I mean let's look at the facts. FOX evidently doesn't a crap about the show (it's pretty clear amongst everyone and it's been this way for years now). But when you think about it, there are probably a few higher-ups in the network who still care about it. I mean realisticly, if FOX truly didn't care about the show they would have A) cancelled a long time ago when the ratings went down, and B) they wouldn't have even given thought to airing these 3 episodes for February. So if anything, we might be lucky enough to get all 22 episodes for season 13.

Well, this week, SNL aired the Brian Williams episode, which was the last one before the strike. This could possibly be a sign that a new episode will air next week, since 1308 was the last episode they aired before 1309. But this could just be a coincidence.

Rumors were that the writers could be back to work as early as Monday, which could definitely mean that SNL could crank out a new ep to compete with 1311. However, I just read that the WGA is going to do a 48 hour negotiating vote to end the strike, meaning they probably wouldn't get back until at least Wednesday. And I don't think that's nearly enough time for SNL to make a new episode.

So, is 1311 gonna air without competition? I think so, but we'll see in the coming days.

I'm looking forward to the strike ending, I really can't wait to see the 300th episode. I hope Alex is still available to do Ms. Swan again!

That's true. Alex & Will will guest star at some point this year, right? I'm sure they feel like they owe us one- us meaning the fans.

If you go by airing dates and the advertisements, then yeah we got our 300th episode. But if you go by terms of actual production codes, no they didn't. Episode #1307 is actually something along the lines of the show's 297th episode or something around there, but it isn't really the 300th. They just wanted to celebrate it in November for sweeps, and that plan backfired. Trainwreck doesn't even describe what that was.

I believe the following article ties in with the 48-hour negotiating deal that MADfan mentioned. I'm not sure if this will add a wealth of info to the convo, but it is the first such article I've seen that mentions "MADtv" specifically.

http://www.canada.com/theprovince/ne...fb3435d&k=5738
"If writers ratify the deal as expected, monologue and sketch writers would be back on late-night talk shows such as Late Night with Conan O'Brien and The Daily Show with Jon Stewart almost immediately. Saturday Night Live and MADtv would also be rushed into early production."
I guess there's good news and bad news. If the deal goes through, then "MADtv" will be one of the first shows to benefit; however, its archrival will also get an early production push. I mean, I know that's to be expected, but just...just....I wanted to contribute, so there.

When you've got 2 of MADtv's finest appearing in a milestone episode only to discover that the stuff they appeared in was just as bad as everything else this season, then its a trainwreck.

I still say 1307, which I refuse to refer to as the 300th episode, is the worst episode. Ever.

Agreed, lol. Although the Lorraine sketch was pretty good.

And Debra Wilson performed well. There would have been more if not for the writer's strike- think the Miss Swan sketch that was planned and probably written, whatever the writers had in store for Will, and probably something else with Stuart and Doreen Larkin that the writers were going to write.
