Default Politics & Social Issues

Well, a couple of days ago, I saw the first commercial for California's Governor to come out. It was Arnold Schwarzenegger's commercial. Does that mean I'll vote for him? Who knows? Anyways, he has a website, and you can even check out his commercial online.

Arnold Schwarzenegger for California Governor website

Shoot, I could've ran for governor. There's only 134 people running to recall Gray Davis.

Anyways, if Arnold wins, hint hint... I'm an Economics major. Please hire me so I can help you 'Bring California Back'.

I've seen his ad campaign (even though I live in New Jersey, I get California TV on satellite). He should quote stuff from Terminator, like "We must terminate Gary Davis" or something, haha.

I was watchin Leno the other day and he showed a video clip of Gray Davis giving a speech and at the end he used a quote that said something to the effect of " we must terminate the terminator" I thought it was hella funny.

Its such a joke of an election. 165 or something candidates. I know jack about the American political system too, but having Arnie as governor would be cool. He'd probably get a new movie going... Terminator 4: Winning California.

Default Ontario Election 2003

Well Ontario goes to the polls on October 2nd. I want all Ontarians to express their views if you want....

As you may know, I will be voting for the first time and will support the Progressive Conservative Party. Ernie Eves, the Premier, hasn't totally impressed me but I am a faithful to that party and will support it...plus I don't like the Liberal and New Democrat leaders and parties....anyone else?

I never voted in my life. I hate politics. What will my vote change? The candidate who is meant to win, will anyway, and all the lies they said in the campaign will be forgotten...

Makes no sense to me...

Heheh, how am I not right though? All politicians lie thru their teeth during the campaign, and then somehow magically half of their promises vanish into thin air during their tenure?

I admit i know jack about politics, but all you hear on TV, and especially at election time, "Oh such and such promised this and that and didnt deliver", etc...

Canadian politics are pretty good for the most part. American politics are so corrupt I want nothing to do with.

Well Canadian politics, IMO, don't get enough media attention. So if i had to vote I'd vote for Dalton McGuinty... Is he a candidate???? because hes the only guy I've actually heard of running. Oh wait is Helen Johns in this? She sounds familiar... I'd vote for her... I;ve seen her sign up in the neighbourhoods, or is that for MP? Who the hell is running anyways??? Am I totally off here.... Probably.... Don't have Civics until the end of this semester.... Damn this wig is itchin!!!! What the f----

VERY BAD NEWS

The f***ing Liberal Party won a huge majority government. Taxes will go up, as will unemployment and my hopes for a future career. Liberals at both levels of government is a very bad thing. My riding of Halton was won by the Conservatives. In my region, Burlington was won by Conservatives, but Oakville somehow threw their town to the Liberal wolves, odd because it's a traditional conservative riding...it's been that way for many decades. So I'm very depressed because I'm going to have such a hard time in the future getting a job, I don't know what I'm going to do.

F*** U STUPID LIBERAL PARTY

Hehehe yourself. Maybe you should have because your Member of Provincial Parliament is now a Liberal.....don't mean to fearmonger you, Martin, but corporate taxes are going to go up which means businesses will have less money to spend on advertising which means where you work (at a printing store) will have less business and now your job is in jeopardy. Should have voted Conservative with me. Oh well, not my fault.

My parents voted for the Tories. I just went out and had some beers with friends yesterday. I'm not worried about work. I have enough qualifications to land a job in any printing/graphics shop in the city, and there are plenty to choose from.

In fact I was already offered a job at a shop in the west end, but I turned it down because it was much too far to travel, and the extra money wasn't worth the grueling commute from Mississauga to Scarborough.

Hurry for Mr. and Mrs. K. (what's your last name again)? But as they say Martin...a non-voter is a vote for the Liberals.

If I voted for the GREEN Party, would you have been more satisfied if I didn't vote at all?
