I'm gonna recommend The Troop on Nickelodeon. This show just gets stupid funny with the humor.

"I can't accept this bracelet."
"Why? Am I not good enough to give you a gift?"
"No, it's because I'm not diabetic."
"Well, maybe you will be someday... because you're just that sweet."

WTF?

Why waste time being clever when we can just drop 27 f-bombs into this scene and close with a side of sodomy? Such is the problem with HBO -- in their tireless pursuit of "real", they always seem to forget that, as an audience, we're looking to be entertained. Fortunately for them (and Sarah, and Whedon), everyone has their own definition of entertainment, and it appears enough of those definitions align with theirs to pay the bills. I, for one, don't get it at all, but whatever floats your boat, I guess.
I'm starting to see this point a little more now.

Yesterday, I was watching some episodes of Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon, where Spike TV just gave John Kricfalusi free reign and said, "Here, do whatever the hell you want." And, my GOD, it is horrible. It basically suffers the same problem the two Transformers movies had (especially the second one), where it's trying to take a franchise for kids and make it "mature" and "adult," which apparently just means it still childish, but now with 90% MORE DICK AND FART JOKES!!!@1112190212asdfghi

So, yeah, it definitely lacked the comedy factor because he had no more reason to be subtle to get all the crude stuff past the censors, like he had to with Nickelodeon S&P. I still don't 100% agree with this point, but I do agree about... 30%.

Hey, that's 30% more than we've ever agreed before. Good enough for me!

All potshots aside (for the rest of this post, at least), all I'm saying is, "releasing a brown bear back into the wild" is always funnier than "taking a shit", just as edge-of-your-seat suspense is always scarier than a handful of guts, just as a Britney Spears music video is always sexier than a handful of car vag. I'm not interested in or impressed by how quickly you can accelerate from 0 to 100, writers -- no matter how brief, take me on a journey. Finesse. If you can't do that, consider a job to which you'd be better suited, such as garbage collector or lemonade salesman. Or Dollhouse writ--er, whoopsie.

Which I guess makes you the new mizzimad. All you have to do now is make 18-page long posts when you could have easily made the same point in three sentences, and you're set!

Either that, or it makes you the same ol' MADfan whose viewpoints are 100% unique 100% of the time. And since I won't be writing any 18-page (non-Summer-related) posts any time soon...

At 9:00 Eastern time today in Canada, the greatest reality show will air it's first episode of its 6th season. That show is Kenny vs. Spenny. Though it is really immature, I must say it's probably the best show Canada has ever produced.

The plot of the show is simple. Two guys challenge each other in competitions. The winner gets to humiliate the loser. Spenny always tried to play fair, but Kenny will lie, cheat, and steal to win (all of which he has done), which he does most of the time.

Why this show is so great is because of its simplistic plot, and the hilarity that is brought on (mostly by Kenny) through each challenge. It's truly one of the funniest shows on television right now (I know that's not saying much, but still). The show begins it's 6th season tonight with 2 new episodes, and I can't wait for them!

If you want to watch it but you live in the states, check on youtube over the next couple of days, because they will most likely be put on there by somebody. The chances for them being deleted isn't even a problem, because the channel that runs it basically hinted on it's youtube page that someone will most likely upload it to youtube, and that they won't stop it.

If I haven't convinced you that this is one of the best shows on right now, and definitely one of the best shows Canada has ever produced, maybe The trailer here will. If not, something is definitely wrong with you.

It was on Comedy Central back when I had TV. I don't know if they dropped it or what. I didn't find it particularly enjoyable when I watched, came off a little gay, but to each his own.

Couldn't agree more bw. I'm trying to get a job in Canadian television for the pure reason of I want to change it. I dream of a day where Canadian programming is so good that it's actually picked over US shows, and the Canadian networks are trading programming with the US networks because the Canadian shows are as good as the American ones. Laughable I know, but I really want to make it happen. Of course if Canada is going to slack its ass around and not do it, then I'll just go to the states and say "screw you" to Canadian tv.

If you make it through high school without having an abortion, get stabbed at a party or get your best friend paralyzed, you are a LOSER.
