    Biography

    Mary Scheer plays young-looking, elderly woman Dixie Wetsworth who hosts the talk show Cabana Chat. Dixie openly admits that she has had a lot of plastic surgery to look the way she does. Dixie welcomes a special guest each week. Orlando Jones plays Dexter, Cabana Chat's homosexual musical director and Bryan Callen plays Dixie's unintelligent and scantily-clad co-host Pool Boy, whose middle name is Todd.

I hear wexworth also, but it's so close to Wetsworth, it could be either.

I would die/love to see this be recurred on the show. Just getting Mary back period would be amazing, but if they could get Orlando and Bryan back and do one for the 300th episode....I would be able to die happy!

Cabana Chat! Wow, that's something I havent heard of in quite a while! It's good to know, however, that Comedy Central is apparently a fan of Cabana Chat, as well! They have lots of them airing! Now alll I have to do is get a good Tuner Card and I can get everyone some Dixie Wetsworth!

I'm still upset they never asked Mary back to reprise 'Cabana Chat'. I had strong hopes that maybe for the final season of MAD they were going to try to bring back all of the original cast members, (my hopes were for Mary, Nicole and Debra. Got 1/3 at least.) Cabana Chat was one of the stronger sketches from the earlier seasons, and it's a shame Dixie never made another appearance after season 3.
