What is MADtv?
MADtv is a late-night sketch comedy program that aired for fourteen seasons on FOX and is now back on the CW. The show is known for both its impressive stable of recurring characters (such as the world-renowned Stuart and Ms. Swan) and its relentless satire of celebrities, politics, TV, and music.

How long has it been around?
MADtv premiered on FOX on October 14th, 1995 and aired its final episode on May 16th, 2009. On April 11th, 2016, it was announced the show would return on the CW. The first CW episode aired July 26th, 2016.

When and where can I see it?
Based on the CW premiere date of July 26th, 2016, we can conclude that MADtv will air Tuesdays instead of Saturdays (as it once did on FOX). A specific timeslot has yet to be announced.

Is it available on DVD?
Currently, you can purchase the first four seasons and "The Best of Seasons 8, 9, and 10" on DVD. Due to poor sales, no further releases are planned at this time.

Does it air live?
No, MADtv is pre-taped. In fact, episodes aren't even taped as a whole -- rather, the cast performs a large number of sketches at each taping, and these sketches are then interspersed throughout the season. Some sketches are taped months before they air, and plenty never make it to air at all.

Does it have anything to do with MAD Magazine?
Yes! MADtv was originally based on MAD Magazine, and although the show has drifted further and further away from its namesake over the years, there were numerous references to the magazine during the first few seasons.

Can I download sketches or episodes from this site?
No. Due to legal threats from Girl Group, the production company behind the show, Planet MADtv no longer offers downloads of this nature.

Can I watch sketches anywhere else online?
Despite Girl Group's ceaseless efforts to rid the internet of anything and everything MADtv-related, users at YouTube continue to upload sketches just as quickly as the company takes them down. For your episode needs, consider checking out our official BitTorrent Links Thread. To download these links, a BitTorrent client such as uTorrent is required.
