She started her career in Tokyo, Japan when she "fell into" a gig as a back up singer to a Japanese artist. From the clips I've seen of her from the Big Gay Sketch Show, I can say 3 things about her.
1) Her Naomi Campbell impression is hilarious. 2) Her character work shows some range, although they are all quite repetitive characters (Latanya, the abusive fitness instructor, Grandma Bell, the black lesbian civil rights activist and Rapper Lil Dyke). Despite the fact that its crude and would never ever make it onto MADtv, the Grandma Bell character is quite good. Cant say the same for the other two though. 3) She's loud. Quite loud. __________________ What happened to Andrae?

While we're waiting for sketch and show news about the season 14 to start trickling in, I thought I'd give those of you who are yet to venture into the big wide world of youtube a taste of what you can expect from Ms. Erica Ash:
I couldn't find a clip of her Tyra impression, which is by FAR the best I've ever seen. __________________ What happened to Andrae?

Lets hope that she's this funny on MADtv. I really thought Anjelah Johnson was funny when she did stand-up, but she got BORING and UNFUNNY on MADtv.

I notice that there are impressions of The Oprah Show, The Ellen Show, and even the Rachael Ray Show (Well, the $40 a day part, anyway). Hope Erica brings with her The Tyra Banks show impression!
