Since there are so many minor appearances in movies and television shows coming up, I thought I would compile them all into a single thread for February.
Michael McDonald will appear on the February 12 episode of "Desperate Housewives", entitled "Silly People." Desperate Housewives airs 9/8C, Sunday nights on ABC.
Mary Scheer will appear in an upcoming episode of the new FOX sitcom "Free Ride". The show premieres on March 1st, after American Idol and Mary is scheduled to appear in the third episode of the season, playing "Louise" in the episode titled "Up Your Auntie." Rumor has it that Mary will also be appearing in Aaron Sorkins new NBC Comedy, "Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip". Thanks to Knickers for the heads up regarding Free Ride.
Simon Helberg has made his mark on The Sundance Film Festival. "The Pity Card", in which he stars, premiered last week at Sundance. Originally intended to be an HBO series, writer/director Bob Odenkirk entered his idea as a film to Sundance after the network ditched the plan. An outline from Forward.com:
Keegan-Michael Key will appear in the upcoming film "Alleyball" which is set for release later this year. Not much is known about this movie at present, but Keegan has second billing and one of his co-stars is Larry Joe Campbell, which links this production with the Second City.
Be sure to return to this thread in the future for more information regarding these appearances.

The film revolves around an unusual first date between a 20-something Jew, played by Simon Helberg, and a historically challenged shiksa goddess (Ange Billman). When the two visit the Holocaust Museum, she emerges devastated because she had never heard of the Holocaust. Her outrage that such a thing could happen makes her want to tell the world. Her bleats of sympathy for her companion do not help matters; he is already mortified at her ignorance.Lisa Kushell will make an appearance on VH1's "100 Greatest Teen Stars" which starts tonight at 9 and continues all week. Thanks to Cartman2002 for the update.

Lisa Arch (formerly Kushell) has recently joined PlanetMADtv and is willing to answer any questions (within reason) anyone may have for her. Rather than posting a response in this thread, make your way over to the Questions for Lisa Thread and make her feel welcome. If you have been living in a shoe box for the last 8 years and don't know who Lisa is, or when she was on MADtv, you can read all about her here.
Mo Collins is also a member-through-correspondence on this forum, so if you haven't seen the Questions for Mo Thread, check it out and ask Mo a question!
In the unlikely situation that any other past (or present) MADtv castmembers are reading this and would like to chat with their fans, contact any one of our helpful staff members and we can set it up for you.

Nicole Sullivan can currently be seen in the Ashton Kutcher/Bernie Mac comedy movie Guess Who in the role of "Liz Klein". She appears twice in the movie in a minor role. Thanks to HiVolt and his capabilities, a short clip of her appearance can be seen here. Lisa Kushell also made a brief appearance in the first 5 minutes of the movie.
Thanks to www.AlexBorstein.com, we have just recieved word that Alex will be appearing in George Clooney's new drama Goodnight, and Goodluck.
Guess Who is currently in theatres, so if you can afford the admission, go and see this movie now! Goodnight, and Goodluck on the other hand is currently in production and won't be released until 2006.

Lisa Kushell has not had her contract renewed on the TBS show "Dinner and a Movie". An excerpt from Lisa's January update:
I'm not going back to Dinner and a Movie. That's right. I'm done. They're already auditioning for a new female host. Weird, huh? If you're wondering why I'm not going back, you'd have to ask the geniuses at TBS. They're apparently "changing things up". Here's the thing: My contract was up and it wasn't renewed. At first I was very upset. I got the call right after Thanksgiving. Very lame. Very impersonal. Then, the more I thought about it, the more I realised that it's a good thing. This frees me up to do a lot of other stuff. I did that show for two and a half years, and there's really nothing I could get out of it.Sad news indeed, if anyone on this forum actually watches this show. You can check out Lisa's Official Website for more information.

Lisa's official site announced this morning that the actress recently did a photo shoot wearing next to nothing for the men's magazine, Stuff. Originally, she was just scheduled to do a celebrity review for their gear section, but they decided to add photos as well. The pictures and article will be in the June issue, so pick up a copy or two once it's out.
As far as I know, she is the first MADtv cast member to pose for a magazine such as this. Should be interesting.

Former MADtv cast members Lisa Kushell and Artie Lange are now cast members on the Comedy Central prank phone call show Crank Yankers. Lisa plays Cammie/Lisa and Artie does various characters. Here's a summary of the show from SBS.com.au:
Imagine Sesame Street gone evil! CRANK YANKERS features outrageous crank calls from real comedians to real people, delivered to viewers through puppets. CRANK YANKERS pushes the envelope as viewers eavesdrop on the puppet citizens of Yankerville as they go about their lives. The relationships and interactions between the puppets are all based on real crank phone calls and the dialogue that was established on these calls.Wow... it's strange how all of a sudden a huge bunch of the MADtv cast is pursuing voice acting.
