Even before his current show goes off the airways, Josh Meyers has another show in the works thanks to his development deal with the FOX network. The only difference between this role and his former role on That 70's Show is that Josh will infact be the lead character of the new comedy "That Guy".

From ComingSoon.net:That Guy, from Regency TV and Montecito Pictures, centers on a guy (Meyers) in his early 30s who realizes that he is getting too old for his partying ways but is not ready to settle down like his friends.

Looks like this is really Josh's year. After scoring a lead role on "That 70's Show", Josh Meyers has secured himself a place on the big screen by having at least two roles in the upcoming romance spoof "Date Movie". From Yahoo! Movies: The story of hopeless romantic Julia Jones, who has finally met the man of her dreams, the very British Grant Fonckyerdoder. But before they can have their Big Fat Greek Wedding, they'll have to Meet the Parents; hook-up with The Wedding Planner, and contend with Grant's friend Andy - a spectacularly beautiful woman who wants to put an end to her Best Friend's Wedding.

The film, which also stars Alyson Hannigan, Jennifer Coolidge, Fred Willard and Eddie Griffin, opens on Febuary 17th 2006. You can view the trailer, which features Josh, here.

That's right, Josh Meyers has got a new gig, and it's relatively high profile. Josh has just been hired as the 'replacement' castmember for Topher Grace and Ashton Kutcher in the upcoming season of the FOX hit, That 70's Show.

From comingsoon.net: Josh Meyers joins FOX comedy That '70s Show this fall to help fill the void left by departing star Topher Grace and reduced appearances by Ashton Kutcher, reports Variety. He'll play Randy Pearson, a college student who's hired by Hyde (Danny Masterson) to work at his record store.

I think it's funny that his character will be filling the void left by the departure of Kutcher, who he parodied in season 8, alongside Christina Moore (as Brittany Murphy), who also went on to replace a castmember on That 70's Show in 2003.

Comingsoon.net also reports that Josh will next be seen in an untitled "romantic comedy" set up at New Regency. Will Christina Moore be his romantic interest in the movie? Probably not, but the irony would be delicious.

No, this isn't a B grade porno flick, it's a new short film that Ike Barinholtz, Josh Meyers and Nicole Sullivan have small parts in.

The Adventures of Big Handsome Guy and His Little Friend is the short film that boldly exposes a growing worldwide epidemic: the slightly awkward friendship. Jason Winer plays Buddy Little- a timid 5'4" nerd who always seems to come up short. Hayes MacArthur plays his unlikely best friend, Guy Hansen - a charming, overgrown jock who lives a carefree existence of one night stands and two-for-one drink specials. When this not-so-dynamic duo sets out for a night on the town, a familiar pattern emerges: everything goes wonderfully right for Guy and horribly wrong for Buddy. But this night is not like all other nights. This is the night that finally pushes Buddy over the edge and forces him to make the surprising and hilarious self-discovery that has eluded him his entire life.

Josh and Ike play "Bar Jerks" and Nicole plays "Pregnant Make-Out Girl." The short film, which had limited releases at the Cinequest and Beverly Hills Film Festivals, is 15 minutes long and also stars Josh's brother Seth.

Josh Meyers may have landed his first "big" role outside MADtv; a starring role in the pilot for a new FOX show called "Peep Show".

... an adaptation of the successful British comedy, is described as a look inside the disturbing minds of two roommates (Galecki, Josh Meyers) -- average guys who form a modern odd couple.

Another Reuters article about the pilot mentions that Josh is "under a talent holding deal with FOX" and will play an aspiring musician in the show.

Josh will share the spotlight with Johnny Galecki, who is most famous for his role as Darlene's boyfriend David on the hit sitcom "Roseanne". The pilot will also star Alexandra Holden.

Debra Wilson recently appeared on Pet Star as a celebrity judge and now Josh Meyers will be a judge this Monday on the Animal Planet channel at 8pm EST. He will be sitting alongside Mackenzie Phillips ("American Graffiti") and Lori Petty ("Point Break," "Free Willy") to vote for the best of the following pets: Drag-racing dogs, chatty bird, crawling bull, jumping dog, soccer-playing pig and a hypnotized bird. In his first tv appearance since he last appeared on MADtv, Josh Meyers is set to guest star on an upcoming episode of "Life As We Know It". He's going to play Ben's (Jon Foster) brother. Here's a spoiler from zap2it.com:

Ben will break things off with his teacher on "life as we know it" so he can be with Sue. Josh Meyers, formerly of "MAD TV," will play Ben's older brother. Look for Becky Ann Baker to reprise her role of Ben's mom and her real life husband Dylan Baker to play Ben's dad. Also Michael might have an affair with someone we know.
