According to The Futon Critic, Christina Moore will be in an upcoming episode of UPN's "Love Inc.", entitled "Anything But Love". Her character's name is Tiffany. The episode will air on March 23 at 8:30PM EST. Here is the episode summary:
After hooking up the agoraphobic Jamie (guest star Jim Gaffigan) with Charlene (guest star Beth Littleford), who accepts his disorder, Denise, Clea and Viviana learn he lied about his condition and the girls threaten to tell Charlene the truth if Jamie doesn't come clean.

Meanwhile, when Barry discovers that his "easy-going" girlfriend, Tiffany, is trying to manipulate their relationship with tips from outrageous dating books, he tries to break up with her, only to discover it's harder than he thought.
What a stretch for Christina to play an easy-going girlfriend. She is really broadening her ability as an actress.

On September 17th, Christina Moore will be participating in a charity event called a "Hollywood Yard Sale." She, along with many other celebrities, will be donating clothes and other personal and professional belongings to be bought by the guests.

The celebrities will personally stand at their "booths" and sell their items themselves. All of the money raised from the event will be donated to a charity called "Clothes Off Our Back." More on this event can be found here.

It's great to see MADtv castmembers participating in events like these. Christina should be very proud of herself.

No, that was not a typo.

The Hollywood Reporter has recently announced that another former MADtver will be replacing one of the lead castmembers in "Hot Properties," the show currently set to star MADtv's Nicole Sullivan.

Before you panic, this person isn't replacing Nicole. For reasons unknown at this stage, Audra Blaser, who was intended to play the character "Emerson," has departed the show and will be replaced by none other than Christina Moore. This opportunity came at the exact right time for Christina, as her character Laurie on "That 70's Show" has not appeared since May 2004, and her show on the UPN, "The Bad Girl's Guide," recently ended.

You can check out the article for yourself here.

And yet another new pilot. This story is from thefutoncritic.com:
THE BAD GIRL'S GUIDE (UPN) - Marcelle Larice, Christina Moore ("Hyperion Bay"), Stephanie Childers ("Less Than Perfect") and Johnathan McClain ("Happy Family") have been revealed as the principal cast members of the Jenny McCarthy-led comedy series. Here's how the network's press materials describe the project: "Charming and self-confident, JJ [McCarthy] is the ultimate bad girl. Living life to the fullest and never one to turn down fun with her girlfriends, JJ ultimately believes she will settle down when she finds Mr. Right, as long as he doesn't cramp her bad girl style. JJ's co-worker Holly [Larice], a fun-loving, divorcee who vows to never marry again, doesn’t believe in moderation and occasionally pushes her bad girlness to the limit. Rounding out the trio is Sarah [Moore], JJ’s smart and attractive roommate, who is ready for marriage and life as a responsible adult, but finds herself lured into the bad girl antics of best friends JJ and Holly."

"As two successful advertising executives, JJ and Holly struggle to maintain their creative and spontaneous nature while working in a structured corporate environment and staying one step ahead of their anti-bad girl supervisor Irene [Childers]. However, JJ and Holly find solace in Patric [McClain], the receptionist, who despite being engaged, relishes in being "just one of the girls" by helping JJ and Holly keep it together at work. By embracing the bad girl ideals, JJ, Holly and Sarah search for a perfect balance of love, career and friendship, but on their own terms, and use their wits, determination and charm to deal with any situation that comes their way." Robin Schiff and Tony Krantz are behind the project, which comes from Palm Tree Productions and Flame Television in association with Paramount Network Television.
This one sounds like it could be good too. I wonder if any other alumni might have picked up a pilot.

Again, there's no word yet on when this new series will air, so keep checking back for updates.

Christina's new show premieres next Tuesday the 24th at 9pm EST. For more info, click here.

It seems that the past and current MADtv cast members are hitting it big in Hollywood and abroad at the moment, with many of them earning bit parts in big budget movies and a few with large parts in Indie films. Is this worthy of my first official “Front Page News” post? I think so!

Ike Barinholtz and Nicole Sullivan will appear in the upcoming film Beds and Breakfast, in what we hope are substantial roles, as they were name dropped as some of the first actors cast in the film. Beds and Breakfast is currently in pre-production and is slated for filming and release in 2005.
Plot Summary: Gary and Susan need a break from their over-populated New York City lives. When Susan's sister Janet offers a weekend on the sly at her boss' unused Vermont cabin, they jump at the chance for privacy. Unknown to Janet, junior partner Mark has planned a secret honeymoon with his new husband at the cabin. When Janet's boss sends a fugitive client, a thieving executive, to the cabin, he brings along the stolen funds as well as his flaky mistress. Trapped in the house until Sunday, the couples clash, bond and start running when an angry investor shows up for the money.
Dannah Feinglass will appear in the film Blackballed: The Bobby Dukes Story in the role of Erika Dukes, opposite her real-life boyfriend Paul Scheer.
Plot Summary: Caught cheating and banned for ten years, Bobby Dukes, paintball's first superstar, returns to reclaim his title and erase the memory of his tainted past.
Simon Helberg has a small role in the upcoming Hilary Duff movie A Cinderella story, in the role of Terry.
Plot Summary: Set at a high school in the San Fernando Valley, this is the story of a "dorky" girl, Sam Martin (Duff), who lives with her stepmother (Coolidge) and stepsisters, after her father dies, and his diner is taken over by his new wife, who used to be a waitress there and who makes Sam do all the hard work there. Sam has few friends at her high school, where the top of the social ladder is Shelby Cummings (Gonzalo), a girl who is wealthy, spoiled and shallow. Sam's attitude and look changes quickly overnight, however, when her cel phone is found by a mysterious guy (Murray), with whom she soon starts corresponding via notes and e-mails, with the promise looming soon that she will finally get to meet him at the big Halloween school dance...
David Herman has been cast in an Untitled Mike Judge Comedy slated for filming in 2005. This project also has current Saturday Night Live cast member Maya Rudolph listed.
Plot Summary: Private Joe Bowers, the definition of "average American", is selected by the Pentagon to be the guinea pig for a top-secret hibernation program, set 1,000 years in the future. He discovers a society so incredibly dumbed-down that he's easily the most intelligent person alive.
Taran Killam will be appearing in an upcoming film entitled Anderson's Crossing in the role of Austin Wilson.
Plot Summary: Nick Anderson, Kevin Daniels, and Tracey Green do everything together, everything. They are the best of friends. And yet they couldn't be more different. Neighbors from adolescence they finish each others thoughts and sentences. Joys and pains. Happiness and tears. Using Nicks house as they're own members only clubhouse they escape into their own world of contentment. Yet the inevitable intrusion of others tests their stability in ways never imagined.
Bobby Lee will be in the upcoming comedy Harold and Kumar go to White Castle in the role of ‘Kenneth Park’
Plot Summary: Two twenty-something stoner roommates -- one a Korean American investment banker; the other an Indian American medical school candidate -- go through a life changing journey, as they spend a night roaming the state of New Jersey in search of White Castle hamburgers.
Michael McDonald will appear in the films Chump Change with original MADtv cast member Mary Scheer, and in Doubting Riley in the role of Andy.

Since leaving MADtv, Christina Moore has been busy with her role in That 70;s show and has recently been working on the films Complete Guide to Guys which is slated for filming in 2005, and the comedy Without a paddle (A parody of 'Deliverance' which ironically, was filmed here in New Zealand)
Plot Summary: This is the story of three friends (Green, Lillard, Shepard) from the big city of Philadelphia who go canoeing together out in the woods and mountains of Washington State after the death of a friend, Billy. Billy was obsessed with going there to search for the unaccounted-for $194,200 out of the $200,000 that famed airliner highjacker D.B. Cooper parachuted with quite possibly to his death in 1971 $5,800 of his marked ransom loot was found in 1980. Canoeing down the Columbia River, the trio soon finds that their canoeing experience goes wrong..., both horribly and hilariously wrong, as the river turns dangerous, and they have encounters with the crazy mountain men (Burt Reynolds) plays who live near the river...
And finally, Paul Vogt will appear in the sequel to 2002's hit comedy the Princess Diaries, entitled The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement in the role of Lord Crawley.
Plot Summary: In 'The Princess Diaries 2', Mia Thermopolis is now a high school graduate and on her way to Genovia to take up her duties as princess (contrary to what was presented at the end of the first film, Mia does not leave her home for a few more years). Her best friend Lilly also joins her for the summer. Mia continues her 'princess lessons'- riding horses side-saddle, archery, and other royal. But her complicated life is turned upside down once again when she not only learns that she is to take the crown as queen earlier than expected, but that she is also to be married before this event. Robert Schwartzman will not be reprising his role as Mia's love interest.
Phew. It's good to see that now, more than ever, the MADtv cast members are getting recognition for their talents, and more importantly, that they are getting good gigs. Hopefully this is an indication of good things in the future.

Sorry about the mass update, but there is so much to tell. First off, MADtv will be on hiatus for a while during the baseball games that will be airing on FOX. It will still air in most areas, but it will be re-airings of season 8 and may be delayed several hours.

I have quite a bit of Alex Borstein news. To begin with, it has been confirmed that she will be one of the alumni returning for the 200th episode of MADtv. She has also joined the cast of the new Warner Brothers film, Catwoman and will be working alongside Halle Berry, Sharon Stone, and Benjamin Bratt. Following these gigs, her one woman show will head to Chicago.

Former MADtv star Orlando Jones' late night FX talk show has been axed after just three months on the air, as I had guessed in an earlier news post. Ratings were low and Orlando became the second late night act to be taken off the air this week, along with Tom Green.

Christina Moore, a featured player of season 8, was not asked to return to MADtv for its ninth season. She got a better offer. She has been hired as the new replacement for Laurie on That 70's Show. Best of luck to her in the future.

Here's what's up with MADtv in the media. Debra Wilson is on the cover of this month's issue of The Juice and Josh Meyers is featured in the Young Hollywood issue of Teen Vogue. Both are available now.

That's all for right now, but we're always getting new MADtv news, so check back soon. A special thanks to cartman2002 once again for his contributions.
