I would swap Arden for Nicole RJ.
ITs going to be wierd that she's going to be gone. So who is going to impersonate all of the african american female celebrities? And we don't have any female who can do good male impersonations. (maybe Nicole Parker) I'm guessing Keegan? Jordan has not made any cross gendered characters or impersonations. |

Shame on you for keeping Bobby Lee. Cast members shouldn't stay around if their partner in crime leaves. Alex and Will left together. When Mo left, Stuart was hardly as funny, and Michael seemingly less so as well. Ike and Josh didn't work out, but Ike and Bobby did. Bobby should go focus on getting his show. I'm sure it'll pay much better than MADtv. Like always, can't wait to see the season premiere! Even if it is holdover sketches. MadTV still has a more diverse cast than 99% of television shows and movies. Plus it doesn't rely on stereotypes nearly as much as other shows. Bobby Lee is the only cast member who almost always plays a stereotypical Asian. Everyone else gets more diverse roles.

Have you considered announcing a 350th episode spectacular in February and a 400th in May, David? Might be something to think about.

The 100th and 200th episodes also aired during November Sweeps.

Why do I have a feeling that the current cast members are gonna appear doing "dinner" theatre in the near future

Why do I have a feeling you are wrong? Oh because you've never been right in your entire stay here.

![]() [/hide]Do we have word on who left voluntarily and who was axed? I'm guessing that Ike and NRJ fit the former category; Frank and Lisa, the latter. (Crap! ) Oh well, it bes what it be, I guess. The show must go on...and whatever other showbiz cliches apply.![]() Although I do like Ike, I must admit that his lack of characters always did frustrate even me. I don't know if this lack can be primarily attributed to the show or to Ike himself (perhaps both), but I do think that he underachieved to some degree. "Yo, Here We Go" showed definite promise for recurrence, but I guess that no one thought that a reprise was necessary. Oh well, I'll miss mah Ikey-Ike-Ike. ![]() For the record, I'll miss the others too. Right now, I just don't feel like devoting a paragraph to each of the other three departers. I have nothing against them; I'm just trying to keep my post at a respectable length for the ADD sufferers around here. You're welcome.

The only thing I can think of with Ike is that he must have asked for too much money; when you're happy with a cast member 5 years it's clear you would probably rather that he stay on some more, so it is most likely something like that.

Ike's contract just wasn't renewed for one reason or another. Everyone's contract is up after 5 years and then the cast member/possibly the show has the option of renewing it or not. So either he decided it was time to move on or the producers gave him the boot to make room for the newbies.

Nicole RJ fired? What? She was great in Season 12, she should've been brought back without a doubt.
Happy to see Ike go, he was the weakest cast member last season. Poor Lisa...she got no chance. Frank I can take or leave so I'm not too disappointed. I'm happy with the returning cast, besides Bobby.

To cap off this post-whoring spree before I begin fading into the shadows once again, I figured I'd toss up my thoughts on this year's casting:
Crista: It seems logical to start with she who kicked off the spree in the first place. Don't scare us like that, woman! I'm not sure the end justified the means, but the big scare *did* -- for me, at least -- have a positive side-effect: I haven't taken this much interest in the show since the Nicole Sullivan days! To borrow a line from Martha, that's a good thing. Best of all is that, assuming five-year contracting is still the standard, she's now a lock for S14 as well. *plays the world's smallest violin for mizz*How to Improve: No complaints here. It occurred to me that I should point out how best to shut up our friendly forum nutjobs, but any change made to appease the haters would only reduce your appeal to those of us who adore you. In other words, don't change a single thing! If I *had* to make a suggestion, however, it would be to inject more of your writing into the show. _______________ Keegan/Nicole/Jordan: Three more reasons to be thankful for five-year contracting. Should all three choose to leave next season, though, "God" help us. How to Improve: I could do without Inside Looking Out and Superstitious Knights (on both accounts, the joke has now been made), but aside from that, no major complaints here. Once again, keep on keepin' on. _______________ Arden: I like Arden the performer, and I also like Arden the person. My only problem is that, in two years, she has yet to make ANY sort of mark on the show. Were she to be kidnapped tomorrow and never heard from again (not that I'm planning anything, of course ), I can't imagine many fans caring or even *noticing*. That's a problem. How to Improve: Try your hand at developing more memorable characters, and for the love of all that's holy, take the Crafty Gals out back and shoot them in the f***ing head. ![]() _______________ Michael: It's time to move on, but at least he's no longer the focal point of the show, I suppose. That said, he improved in S12, and I can only hope that trend will continue. How to Improve: Chris Hansen, Steve Jobs, the dude from Top Model whose name I can't be bothered to look up -- these are the kind of roles you *should* be playing! Continue avoiding the woefully annoying characters you used to take up in droves, and you could one day find yourself on the road to redemption. Finally, because I'm sure it can't be avoided entirely (as it should be), one Stuart per season MAXIMUM. _______________ Bobby: It's time to move on, but at least his partner in crime is gone. Unfortunately, the increase in remotes is sure to negate any positive effect this might've had. How to Improve: The "hey, I strip to make others uncomfortable" joke has been made, the "hey, I do this virtually every episode" joke has been made, and it's now time to start venturing beyond physical comedy and into uncharted waters. Let's see something fresh, Robert! While stripping down in the name of comedy *does* have its place, it MUST be used sparingly. [Unless, of course, it's being done by one of the show's lovely ladies. Can I get an amen? ]_______________ Anjelah/Johnny: Here's hoping these two can rise above what we've seen from them so far and better channel their talents through sketch comedy. Dan: Time will tell. I can see him being an asset, but time will tell. _______________ NRJ: Many have argued that NRJ should've been given Bobby's slot, and I couldn't agree more. Even pitting them against one another based solely upon ratings potential, one has to wonder if the right decision was made. Darrell is(/was) a force to be reckoned with. Caeti: The precious few times he was given an opportunity to shine, Caeti shone. It's a shame we'll never know his full potential. I'm not devastated by his departure or anything, but given another season (or a fair shot during the time he was there), I might've been. Ike: Not a major loss, but on the bright side (for him), at least he left on his highest note. Good work, Ike. Lisa: She didn't do anything overly impressive during S12, but at the same time, she didn't do anything overly *unimpressive* either. I wouldn't have minded seeing more of Lisa, but if four people had to go, good riddance, I guess. _______________ FYI, while the cast is still lurking this thread, now would be a good time for everyone else to post their suggestions as well.
