[MADtv] Crista Flanagan in "Epic Movie"

Crista Flanagan will be in upcoming theatrical film, "Epic Movie". Based on this promotional still and her IMDb profile, she will be playing a (pregnant) Hermione. The plot of "Epic Movie" is as follows:

The twisted minds of two of the six writers of "Scary Movie" tackle the biggest mega-blockbusters of all time in "Epic Movie." The story centers on four not-so-young orphans: one raised by a curator at the Louvre (where an albino assassin lurks), another a refugee from Mexican "libre" wrestling, the third a recent victim of snakes on her plane, and the fourth a "normal" resident of a mutant "X"-community. The hapless quartet visits a chocolate factory, where they stumble into an enchanted wardrobe that transports them to the land of Gnarnia (with a "G"). There they meet a flamboyant pirate captain and earnest students of wizardry - and join forces with, among others, a wise-but-horny lion to defeat the evil White Bitch of Gnarnia

Great for Crista! I however, won't be seeing this movie, ever.

Maybe it's the fact that they're advertising the biggest "of all time," when in actuality, it should be "of 2006." That's not really the reason, I just thought it should be brought up.

Anyway. after I heard how "good" Date Movie was, which I imagine is made by the same people, I don't have much hope for this one.

As for the movie, it kind of has an interesting plot. But I won't see it because I'm not a movie person. I might rent on DVD though.

Anyways,Epic Movie is released here tomorrow 25th Jan..so we get it a few days earlier then you guys,which is rare
I'm gonna see if my g/f will go see it with me this weekend,although i went to see date movie with high hopes and thought it was crap so i'm hopiong this isn't the case this time.i'm not holding my breath though

I saw this movie today. Sadly, Crista didn't get a proper opportunity to shine, but she did have a funny part. The movie itself was funny, but some moments made me want to castrate myself.

Saw the movie last night....the spoof movie is truly going downhill
Didn't see taran though.i thought the guy that played wolverine kinda looked like ike..although the imdb.com profile for the guy is.....not filled with info

Well, some people liked it. It was #1 at the box office this weekend making 18.7 million at the box office despite no review from critics when it came out

Well technically, they may not have liked it since you pay the cash before you see it but that is a technicality

I'm glad it got number 1 though. Stomp the Yard spending 2 weeks in the number one spot makes me die inside. Any film that bumps it outta place is good in my books.

No! I love spoof movies like Scary Movie and Not Another Teen Movie. Date Movie wasn't as good as either of those but I still thought it was a good movie with plenty of laughs.

no really..date movie was a barely passable comedy.
a couple of moments that make u let out a tiny noise means a very average film...for me anyways

What really ruined Date Movie for me was Tony Cox and Eddie Griffin. I'm not racist I swear, they just CANNOT ACT TO SAVE THEIR LIFE!!! They are totally pathetic and I can't stand them. Acting is not simply reading your lines, you need to make it sound like a conversation not.

Cast 1: I speak
Cast 2: I respond
Cast 1: This is my second Line
Cast 2: Now I am responding to that.

It is annoying! You can tell that the one person is being shot saying all their lines in a row and then the scenes are edited together. You aren't supposed to be able to notice that!

Also: **** jokes aren't funny anymore. These spoof movies (Some which I still love) ruined them! And they keep coming as if we haven't heard quite how realistic one can make an audible bowel movement sound on film. The echo from inside the bowl is BRILLIANT!... I'm done.
