[MADtv] Mo Collins Joins The Cast Of "Frangela"

Mo Collins has joined the cast of a new FOX sitcom, centering on the relationship between a Los Angeles-based comedy duo comprised of African-American comediennes Francis Callier and Angela Shelton. From Reuters:

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Mo Collins, Michael Boatman and Garrett Morris have been hired to co-star in Fox's female buddy comedy pilot "Frangela."

The show stars comedians Frances Callier and Angela Shelton.

Morris will play the superintendent of the apartment building the two women live in. Collins will play Callier's boss, while Boatman will play her husband.

It's good to see that Mo has found another solid sounding show, although FOX's track record with sitcoms as of late has been less than successful. Still, this show seems pretty original for a mainstream sitcom at present, so here's hoping it gets picked up and does well.

people may recognize "frangela" from VH1's Best Week Ever. they're pretty kix, to me. this sounds interesting!

I am a big Mo fan and was wondering is anyone here knew what happened to Mo's MySpace site. It just disappeared and the link says "This user has either cancelled their membership, or their account has been deleted." It seemed like Mo lived for that site as much as her fans did so it is kind of strange it just disappeared. Any info from anyone?

She cancelled it because it was getting too personal or something. That, and she was addicted to it. There's a thread in the off-topic forum that has a post containing the reason from Mo herself.

Good to see Mo in a new project, also i liked Michael Boatman in Spin City so i hope it goes well for her and the rest of the cast (assuming it gets picked up).

Cool I like Frangela on Best Week Ever. And I like Mo more.

But FOX has a lot of stupid shows, so they might mess it up.

Go Mo Don't know who Frangela is but it's great that Mo is on another show. When is it going to is it going to air? Sounds better than all of Fox's new comedies put together heard their crap this year and Mo rocks!
