[MADtv] Debra Wilson Update!

Earlier this evening I was able to talk to Debra Wilson and she updated me on a number of projects that she is working on.

Debra has a lot of movies on the way. As many of you know, she will be appearing in Scary Movie 4, Danny Roane: First Time Director and Over The Hedge, which are all set to open this spring. Her role in Over The Hedge is not as one of the animals which are all over the advertisements, but rather as a human. As previously mentioned, she will also be flying to India soon to work on a film. She does not know if this movie will be released on this side of the world, but it is starring the biggest names in cinema over there and is supposed to be huge in Asia. One of the big directors in India saw some of her work from MADtv and thought that she would be perfect for the role. Hopefully we will get to see it at some point, because it sounds like she has a great role in it. Debra will also be playing the daughter of comedic legend Whoopi Goldberg in an upcoming film, which is a huge honor for her.

In addition to her new TV Guide Channel series, TV Watercooler, she is working on a pilot series for the fall of 2006. She has also been busy filming 12 new E! specials. Because of her regular gig with TV Guide, she can no longer show her face on screen, but she rather she will serve as a narrator as she did in the 101 Sexiest Bodies countdown. Debra is also featured in a number of brand new Sierra Mist commercials that will air in the coming months and will make history as the first black woman to appear on the cover of International Tattoo Art Magazine this Spring.

Ok guys, Debra is on the cover of the September issue of International Tattoo Art Magazine. It didn't exactly come out in the spring as I originally posted but it is out now. I didn't realize it was out already and some places already have the October issue, but try book/music stores like Borders or Barnes & Noble. If not, you can order back issues from the official site at www.internationaltattooart.com. I haven't picked up an issue yet, but if I can't find it at the store, I'll definitely order a copy. Anyone else notice that they edited a bikini top on her? She posed topless. Other than that, the pics look great from what I have seen so far.

But anyway how many tattoos does Debra have all over her body and did she have to remove some tattoos for certain tv and movie roles?

Damn. I remember in those Whitney Houston sketches where she had like a 500 pounds of make-up on her arm to cover the tattoos.

Usually in movie roles she wears shirts that cover them up if they don't fit in with the role. It is possible to cover them up with make-up, but it's difficult. On MADtv, in sketches where she played a role where she had to show more such as Bunifa or Mariah Carey, they used make-up but it would take something like 3 hours to do. She had a lot less tattoos when she was on MADtv though, she wasn't completely sleeved and her back wasn't done. As far as how many tattoos she has, if you asked her she would say she had lost count. She has added on to a lot of her older tattoos as well. She won't get any on her legs, though.

I found the issue at Borders today and it's a great article with a bunch of full color pictures. The only downside is that there are quite a few pictures where they drew on a bikini, which is lame.

You know, a couple tattoos its ok, but I think she went too far. She's got a great body and frankly I think it takes away from it as well.

I agree......she's pretty, but I think that, in my opinion, she's got too many tats.

I disagree. When she was describing what all of the different symbols meant to her I thought it was it was cool how each piece had it's own story. I think it's awsome!
