[MADtv] The MADtv cast returns to the Chicago Improv Festival 2005!

The MADtv cast is back a second time to do not one, but two shows at the 8th Annual Chicago Improv Festival. The entire cast will not be back, but the performance will headline five cast members: Mo Collins, Keegan-Michael Key, Michael McDonald, Ron Pederson and Paul Vogt. The cast will be the main act with an opening featuring the MADtv writers, who are also performing for the second time. Last year the annual live festival featured 120 hilarious live acts, ensembles from nine countries and more than 700 improv and sketch performers. The full list is not yet up this year, but I'm sure it will be just as impressive considering over 200 groups from around the world submitted material hoping to be picked for the show. The festival runs from April 22nd - May 1st. Here's a list of the days that feature the cast of MADtv:

Friday, April 29th - 7pm - $25

Saturday, April 30th - 7pm - $25

Don't forget to also check out Mo Collins' One-Woman Show, as previously announced. There may be more performances that could include MADtv cast members, they don't have the full list up yet. Man I want to be there. I wish they had Stephnie and Debra to come as well. But I want to see Mo too. I love doing improv but I think just watching is it even better.

Last year, I was soooo pissed at my mom cause she wouldnt let me go (It was a a Thursday night last year). Maybe she'll let me go this year since its not on a school night! Hopefully, so you guys dont have to hear me rant about not being able to go again :/

I can show you and your mom where the stage doors are at so that you can possibly meet some of the cast after the show, if you want. I was lucky enough to meet this lady last year who knew Stephnie that told me where to go. It's not too hard to find, but Andyrew who used to post on the forum looked last year and couldn't find it.

Anyways, let me know when you're planning to go or whatever. This is so cool, meeting forum members at the MADtv show. Anyone else thinking about attending?

That'd be cool, but you might have to tell me in secret. If Im going, it'll probly be on the Saturday night, cause Im meeting Amanda there during a "bathroom break" cause of my mom, lol. We can all meet at a "bathroom break"

or we can all "meet on stage and get kicked out together" as amanda said

Guys, Im probably not going either. My dad just took me to see a musical downtown on the 16th, and that cost 68 dollars, and I dont want to beg to go to the fest for another 25, cause I doubt the answer will be yes.

Awww...so am I the only one going? Damn. Some of you guys live right near there and you're not going and yet I'm going for a second year in a row and having to ride a train for 5 hours and pay for that plus two nights in a hotel. lol, come on! $25 isn't that much at all to see the MADtv cast.

Anyways, I'm excited. I leave Thursday morning for Chicago. I'll let you guys know how everything was when I get back. I'm coming back late Saturday night, so I'll probably check in at the forum on Sunday. This is gonna be a great week cuz tomorrow I get to see Garbage in concert and then the rest of my weekend is going to be in Chicago.
