I know that Artie had a drinking problem. Is that why he got kicked off Mad TV?

I just watched Artie's set on the Roast and he was awesome. He was the first to drop the C bomb I think, it was great. He clearly hasn't given up drinking like he said on the 200th episode but he's still funny at least.

Here's part of an articile about how bad most of the NBA is in the Eastern Conference. This one is about the Toronto Raptors

See you if could find the reference to Artie here:

The Raptors have the worst collection of perimeter guys in the league, which is kind of a problem when you're playing up-tempo basketball and trying to outscore other teams. (It's just too bad they couldn't have moved up last June to take Adam Morrison. Oh, wait, they had the No. 1 pick. Scratch that.) And poor Sam Mitchell wore out his welcome about two years ago. He's like the ARTIE LANGE of NBA coaches; every day that he beats the odds and makes it another day feels like a miracle.

I just read online that Artie Lange announced that he is planning to leave The Howard Stern Show in January because he is "burned out".

The item also said that Howard Stern didn't wanted him to leave and suggested to go to a shrink.

STERN-SIDEKICK ARTIE QUITS SHOW
By DON KAPLAN
PrintEmailDigg ItStory Bottom

May 25, 2007 -- BELOVED Howard Stern-sidekick Artie Lange says he's leaving the radio broadcast next January after more than six years with the radio program.

Lange made the announcement yesterday, live on the air, stunning his colleagues and even catching Stern off guard.

"I just feel burned out," Lange told The Post. He has been juggling the pre-dawn hours of "Stern," a brutal stand-up comedy touring schedule, a recurring role on "Rescue Me" and a guest spot on "Entourage."

All the work comes just as Lange tries to battle a long-term drug and alcohol addiction, depression and poor eating habits that have pushed his weight to over 300 lbs.

"Nothing is set in stone, but it's something I'm seriously thinking about. The schedule is destroying me. I love the show, and I love the people. I'm just really concerned about my health," he says.

During a recent physical, a doctor told Lange that he needed to make some sort of a change in lifestyle or risk death. "I have to find a happy balance . . . none of this is going to be worth it if I drop dead at a Best Western in Milwaukee," he says.

I saw Artie Lange on the Best Damn Sports Show Peroid and he was very funny and he was on for 2 segments. He also was promoting the uncensored version of his film Beer League which will air on Comedy Central late Saturday Evening at 1:00 am in the morning.

Maybe it would be a good day to use your TIVO.

Last week on Letterman, I saw Artie Lange on the show and he was there promoting a book that we just did in which he talked about the highs and lows of career including his time on MADtv.

Also, he looked like he now weighs around 300 lbs and has grey hair.

My dad is just raving about that book he's coming out with. He is almost in love with Ardie Lange (but not for his MADtv work)

Watching season 1 for the first time in 14 years on DVD and for a pretty large amount of time (at least 4 episodes) in the first season he completely vanishes. Still in the opening credits, but not in the opening & ending scenes at all and no sketch appearances. Anyone know what was going on there? @_@

I was watching Arie on the Best Damn Sports SHow Period and during the interview, I found out that Artie's Book "Too Fat To Fish" is #1 on the New York Times best-sellers list.

Unless you have heard, Artie Lange was a guest on the premiere of HBO's Joe Buck Live if you have not seen it or heard about it, Let's say this, it was pure Artie and we will probaly cherish this for a awhile because he isn't coming back on that show or HBO in General.

Did anyone see Artie on David Letterman last night? If you haven't, you can see it here. The interview was good as usual (Artie has really lost a little bit of weight. He actually doesn't look like crap now), but the real shocker was backstage, was his 25 year old girlfriend that no one has really seen before was shown, and seriously, how the Hell did Artie ever get her?! She's gorgious! Even more shocking, he says that she says that she didn't even know who he was when she met him (clearly she has never seen the greatest sketch show ever)! Artie just proves that you can be a fat, drugged up, cruel and rude, but as long as you have money you can get any girl you want
